    Duration of ownership: 8 Years

Strengths: Easy interface, good at catching potentially harmful 'bugs'.

    Weaknesses:I haven't found any yet!

Overall Evaluation: From reviews read at PCW,Norton AV is the way to go, as opposed to other Norton products like 360 (which the other reviewer seems to be talking about. I would highly recommend this product.

    Strengths: None.

    Weaknesses:Not an honest company.

Overall Evaluation: In 2007 I downloaded and went on auto pay with credit card. In 2009 my computer was hit by a virus and when I called Norton I was told that they could fix the problem for an additional $99.00. Then when Norton 360 failed to save my computer from a virus in October 2010 I cancelled their services. The computer pros at Office Depot recommended McAfee. I just noticed that on my credit card statement they had continued to charge my account. I spoke with billing and she brought to my attention that yes,I was charged for 2011 and also charged twice in 2009, 2010 and 2011 for the annual renewal rate. I was told by Harish R., case manager, that they would only refund the money that they had taken in the last 60 days even though he agreed that they double charged me for the last 3 years. He said it was the customers responsibility to let the tech know that I needed to also cancel the autopay when cancelling the service. I was then told that no one above his status would speak to me on the phone and that I could have free norton services for the additional money they took but not a refund. Why would I want another norton service when they failed to protect my computer in the first place?
