    Strengths: spam filters

    Weaknesses:none - I've always liked MS Office

Overall Evaluation: This was an upgrade from Office 2000, which worked fine, but since MS quit supporting it, it was time for a change. My company is still using Office 2003, so I don't feel bad for not upgrading to 2007, especially considering the price difference. The best thing about the 2003 over 2000 is in Outlook, you have many more spam options.

Strengths: Excellent programs, especially Outlook, which provides not only a good means of communicating, but a great reminder and appointment system.

Weaknesses:Outlook sometimes "closes" for no obvious reason at all; even after running the "Help/Repair" option in Tools.

Overall Evaluation: Office 2003 is one of the better products produced by Microsoft, much better than 2000. I also find Office 2003 to be more user friendly than Microsoft Vista as well.

Strengths: Ubiquitous; no choice to use. (Returned Office 2007: steep learning curve, new user interface; my ~200Word 2003 macros cannot be imported into Word 2007!!!! ...don?t have the time for that!!)

Weaknesses:It?s a Microsoft Office Product (only Excel is fairly well-thought-out).

Overall Evaluation: WordPerfect 8.0 (a number of versions back!!) blows MS Word away, insofar as ease-of-use, proficiency, troubleshooting: MS Word is only good for writing memos.Example: Outline numbering cannot be collapsed (showing, e.g., only the 1st level); the built-in Headings (1 thru 9) must be applied ...and then, outline numbering no longer works (even if Outline-numbered paragraphs are used to format the Heading 1, etc., styles!).What good is outline numbering if one cannot use collapse?? (So, I had to install an old copy of WP 8 in order to engage in some complex development.)MS should concentrate on fixing their products, instead of on eye candy.

Strengths: Extremely functional and versitile - amazing capabilities

Weaknesses:huge learning curve to learn all it can do

Overall Evaluation: The Access is the most amazing data base product I have seen. There are so many things that can be done with it but it will take quite a bit of work and using the program to truly appreciate its full capability. Excell, Pwoerpoint and Word are great everyday workhorses and easier to use and get ip to speed.
