    I ordered a printer on 11/30 that stated "expected to ship 1 to 3 days". Today is Dec. 12 and Customer service says it is on backorder and cannot inform me when the shipment will come in, at least not until Dec 17. So, I have to wait up to another week before I can even find out if my printer will be delivered before the decade is finished. Oh, and to add insult to injury, Pricegrabber shows the printer "in stock" still, although now it is back to retail price. The only reason I am keeping the order in is that the price is $350 cheaper than the current list at Officemax.com right now.

    Officemax is the most horrible place to make online shopping. They took my order and promised to deliver within 1-3 days. Now after several days they are saying that they are out of stock and they cancelled my order. They said they have a problem in their software. They dont respect customer and their on call customer service is extremely rude. I will never oder from Officemax ever in my life. If you want to get harassed and want to deal with extreme difficulties, just order from Officemax and life will turn hell with them.

    the item was marked "delivered by 1-3 days." it is now 7 days and counting. furthermore there is no tracking information supplied on the website. i called customer service and they were unable to provide any information about where it was, when i might get it, or how to track it. furthermore i was put on hold for substantial periods with obnoxious music. this case is still unresolved.ps. 1 day later. they say they cant cancel the oder since its "shipped," but they have no clue from where, with what carrier or any tracking info. if it ever arrives im shipping it back, meanwhile ive ordered from elsewhere.

    This is the worst buying experience that I ever had during my past 10 years of buying from the web merchants. I ordered a laser printer from Officemax on 12/09/06 and I never received the item until a month later they claim that it was not available in my local area despite tha fact that on their web site the item is still listed as available at a much higher price. They cancled my my order without my consent. Essentially they false advertised the printer with a low price trying to attract the customers and never fullfilled their responsibility. I talked with the supervisor of the customer office and it was just another bad experience, totally useless. I will never buy from Officemax ever again.

    This was the WORST online shopping experince I have EVER had. They took my order and it was not until I called because my order did not ship in the "usual" timeframe outlined on the site that they told me they sold out of my order. Then, we it did come in stock, they could not guarentee it would come in time for Christmas...this is AFTER I already paid for expedited shipping. Further, my order has not arrived and I just an additional $20 charge on my statement with no explination why. I will never, ever again do business with the company. Their customer service is awful and I am not the only one to feel this way, thier voicemail is too full for me to leave a message. DO NOT USE ACORTECH FOR ANY ONLINE PURCHASES. They will over bill you and not deliver your order.

    I ordered a Memory Card on November 24, 2006. I received an invoice stating that the item was in stock and would be shipped in 4 days. I received an email again on November 29th stating now that the item was backordered. I specifically bought the card for a trip to Hawaii the 5th of December. I phoned Office Max, only to be told that it would not be in until, at the earliest, December 15. That is a bunch of garbage. I could have purchased another memory card online for almost the same price. Now, I have to go uptown and pay a higher price because Office Max falsely lists items as in stock and sells them when apparently they dont even have them. Not a good practice. Being a company of that size, they should know what is in stock, backordered, etc., at the time of the sell and should inform you of this. I would definitely NEVER shop there again. Advice is to stay clear if you care about getting your item in a reasonable timeline.

    I ordered four cakes of DVD+Rs with free shipping on 11/6 and they arrived on 11/7!!! They arrived so fast that I didnt know the package sitting on my front porch two days later.

    This is worst experience Ive had from an online retailer. I ordered a wireless mouse from officemax.com. It has been 2 weeks since I placed the order and they cant even tell me when will it ship. At the time I placed the order the mouse was "in stock" projected to be delivered within 4 days. Now they are telling me it is backordered and dont know when it will be in! This is a common product that has not been discontinued...I would stongly recommend shopping somewhere else no matter how big their sale is.Update 11/8/06 - I was just informed by Office Max that they are no longer carrying this product (even though it is not being discontinued by the Manufacturer) and they are cancelling my order. Wow, thanks for letting me wait 2 weeks before telling me.

    STAY AWAY! I ordered a MX 1000 mouse on Oct 19, I got a confirmation note back and everything. The next day I get a note that my order has been canceled, and to call and reorder. I then call and they put my order back through and give me another order number. The next day I tried that order number and it said that it didnt exist. She told me that it would come the following Wednesday which was about 8 days later. I didnt get it, I waited till Friday to allow for some delay, still not. I call them up again and they say that it still is in processing, he then gave me a case number and said I would get an email in 48 hours. On Wednesday I called them back again and they told me that the order was canceled because the item was not it stock and would not come back. During this time I never received a single email from them on the progress. I will never do business with them again; I will pay more not to deal with them ever again. STAY AWAY!
