    I can advise anyone to think twice about using Circuit City online shopping, if they do NOT have a local store they can return a defective product to..!! Every POSITIVE review that I read, mentions dealing with a local STORE in some way with their order... I have NEVER had such terrible service with ANY company before, regarding return of defective merchandise..!!... It has been over a month, & FIVE calls to customer service, & I still have not received a return shipping label..!! It looks as if I will have to drive 50 miles to return my order, or I will never get my refund credit.

    LOUSY Experience.I saw a good deal for a DVD and placed my order. Never saw the order in my mail. When I checked my order status on the site, I saw that they had not entered my apartment number in the "Order Shipped to" address, even though it was showing in the Bill To and Ship To adresses for the credit card. After having to call TWICE for a refund, finally they reimbursed me for the DVD MINUS THE SHIPPING CHARGES for an order that I had never received. And all this headache for a lousy 9$ order. In the past I have received quick refunds from other online merchants for 200$+ orders with no hassles. When shopping on the internet I only deal with reputed merchants. I am sorry to say I will never buy from circuitcity again. Lesson learned - Even for big name stores, check the customer ratings first. Stick to the "Good" stores. You know which they are.

    On black friday, I went to the Circut City store in Atlantic Mall in Brooklyn NY and that is where my nightmare began. Not only did i wait 2 hours outside to get in the store but i waited over 5 hours on a line in the store to purchase a 52 inch TV. Now as if that were not bad enough, the night before i tried to order the TV on the phone the circut city rep took my information credit card number... etc. After she took the information she said the the TV was out of stock and that she could not complete the transaction .Figuring the sale was cancelled, I went to the store where as mentioned above I had to wait a total of over 7 hours in lines. Well I was in for a suprise when i got my credit card statement the next month and I was charged for that TV that was out of stock. I called the 1800 customer service number and was told that the money would be refunded to my credit card in 3-5 buisness days. Needless to say, I was upset but still gave them the benefit of the doubt. Now it is exact

    Horrible experience. Ordered a keyboard online to pickup in-store within 24 minutes. First off I get to the store and they have a line that says online pickup but they tell me they arent using it that way there is just 1 line for all of customer service. So instead of just picking up the item, or waiting on a short checkout line I get stuck in the 15 minute line of people with problems......Finally get to the counter, well over 24 minutes and they say to wait they have to get it. I wait 5-10 minutes it finally shows up, so I ask for my $24 gift card. They woman then tells me it doesnt work how it says clearly in the e-mail. They only give it out if you have to wait over 24 minutes from the time you get to the counter in the store, it has nothing to do with when you order the item.Asked for the Manager, he said literally "Ya, whatever she said is right, sorry" and walked away, completely rude. In store pickup sounds good, but faster to just go get the item yourself

    Circuit City has obviously outsourced their order and customer service departments to India. I talked to 5 different people over the course of the day January 4th and I could not understand any of them. The person that took my order misspelled my name, my address, and my email address. Subsequent phone calls were progressively more frustrating! I finally gave up. I called first thing the next morning and got another unintelligible customer service rep. Supposedly the product shipped the same day I ordered it, but I have not seen it yet. I hope to receive it on January 9th. Ive never experienced such horrible customer service. I hope Circuit City wakes up soon and brings it back to America. I guess the only way that will happen is if they begin to suffer financially.Put me down as one of the many customers who WILL NEVER BUY FROM CIRCUIT CITY AGAIN!!!

    I ordered a Creative Labs SB X-Fi Xtreme Music sound card on the web & set it up to be picked up in-store, figured itd be easier. So I went to pick it up Jan 3rd. Everything was going smoothly til as the CSR is putting the box in the bag, I notice the seal looks broken. I have her take a look & sure enough, it is. So she goes to get the only other one that on the sales floor and low and behold, its in worse shape. So, I figure, maybe it just came undone while being handled. Nope. Not only had it been opened, but looking at the connectors, it had been used! This is a store the specializes in electronics. Youd think they would make sure opened items DONT make it back into someone elses hands. Or the store figured they could get away with selling it to someone who wouldnt notice, who knows. They gave me my money back, but didnt offer any kind of compensation for my wasted time (and gas for that matter). I left empty handed. Not the 1st time Id had probs with them.

    Very nice experience; CC had better price than other merchant on Samsung 46" LCD (92D), so went to CC and they MATCHED the 110% difference adjustment that I would have received from other merchant. Then, within 30 days, they had the set for $440 cheaper and they honored the price difference by paying back 125% of the difference! Wow, this new price ($1899 retail) still seems to be the best on the market (plus I got it even cheaper with the 125% of the difference).It was all easy and CC seems very friendly. Id highly recommend them. I did in store pickup with on-line order.

    I placed my express pickup order for 2 seagate external hard drives. I drove to the store to pick them up. They only had 2 units left and one of them looked like someone drove a forklift blade through it. I refused to receive the damaged product and the CSR issued a refund credit. I blame CC for this oversight. They should have taken the damaged product out of stock. It was obviously passed over several times as it was the last remaining unit. One day later, the drives cost 20$ more.I figured I could avoid the time, damages, and added expense of shipping by using the EP service. I was *dead* wrong.

    I ordered online on 11/14/2006. Took 10 days to get the product, Found it was damaged, Called immediately. The CSR gave me a number -IM463117. Finally item was picked back on 12/14. Was told that it cannot be exchanged at local store, and they will reship the product the day it would be received. I was promised that I will get it before Xmas on 12/19 by another CSR. But I still have no replacement. I called again on 12/26. CSR told me that a reshipment request has been generated now and it will be reshipped. I called again on 12/27 to get tracking number, the CSR tells ma now that the reshipment request has to be approved and then it will be reshipped. And of course, you cannot talk to anyone else.CircuitCity store experience is good, but the online is horrible. Very poor customer service, going the DELL way...!

    I ordered a Fuji digital camera, along with another product on 12/19, it said it was in stock. Scheduled delivery date was 12/22. I received the first product without any problem on 12/21. The following day I did not receive the Fuji camera. I checked the website and it said it did not ship. I called customer service, spend about an hour on hold, to have some kid tell me that the product is out of stock. Obviously this is a christmas gift so waiting for it to become available again is useless, so I decided to cancel the order. After waiting another 30 mins on the phone another kid told me that she COULD NOT cancel the order. What a horrible company to do business with! First they tell me the product is in stock when its really not. They dont contact me to let me know theres a problem. And they cant cancel the order.WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN!!! BE AWARE!!!!
