Total shipping and handling was not displayed before purchase was complete.I was charged $111.96 (ups) shipping and handling for an 8 pound package! Calf.-> to PA.ONE HUNDRED + DOLLARS above actual shipping cost. *** BRUTALLY EXCESSIVE shipping and handling fee ***BUYER BEWARE 4- small items cost $128.00 + shipping and handling =$239.96!

I ordered a computer from UBID, which came with only a 30-day warranty, but it said an Extended Protection Plan was available. I ordered a two-year warranty. I didn?t receive any info on the extended warranty, so after two weeks I contacted UBID to learn why. They sent me an email back, saying, ?Unfortunately the warranty purchased with this product is not valid since the original warranty with it is only 30 days from the vendor. It has to have at least a 90 day manufacturers warranty. We can either credit you back for the warranty or you can return the unit.?Not only had the availability of an extended warranty been clearly marked when I ordered these, but I had been billed for the extended warranty when I ordered the item! If I hadn?t contacted them, I would have had no idea that they considered the warranty that I ordered to be invalid. Almost a month later, they are still selling extended warranties for items that don?t qualify for them.

Having read previous horror stories, I was ready to be disappointed. But, for the most part, they held up their end of the deal. I ordered new Canon HV-20 on 10/5. It took a week to "confirm" the credit card order with a request for a phone call. I called on 10/12 and confirmed the order, asking why it took a week to get to this point. They apologized and said the were having issues with order processing and item would ship "shortly." I received notice that it shipped UPS ground on 10/17, and I received it on 10/19. No problems with the item (though it was not packed really carefully). So, not a great seller but no horror tales this time. Their price was easily one of the best out there. Just be ready to have some patience with their processing.

This was my first attempt to buy from uBid.com and also will be my last. And no, I would not recommend this merchant to the people that I love and care about.Here is an excerpt of my actual complaint report filed with Chicago BBB. And by the way, uBid is a member of Chicago BBB:This incident is clearly demonstrated that the vendor has no inventory to sell while advertised the item at the lowest price to the public. This is not a good business practice and I just want to file this complaint so other consumers will be aware of the unethical business practice of uBid.com.

I am a senior citizen/teacher who tried to buy a laptop for a disadvantaged student. I found that uBid does not stand behind all of the products they sell, and they go out of their way to protect their sellers, even when their sellers violate Federal law. They will not reveal the physical location of their sellers, so there is no way to find them. Corporations like uBid exist for their clients, the sellers, not you, the buyer. At the end of the day, this corporation took almost $300 from me and, worst of all, prevented me from helping a student in need. Shame on this elitist corporation! I do not recommend them.

Bid 8 knockout roses on May 2. Received the package via USPS priority mail on May 22 after I called uBid on May 19 for the shipment. No idea why it takes 20 days to ship from Ohio to Pennsylvania. The rose plant I received were 8 bare twigs (~8 inches high each) with little bare roots (no soil at all), and they are still 8 bare twigs after two months planted in the ground (no bud and no leaf at all).

Won the bid but shipping different Item, wrote the complain the anwser is refund full amount of money should not purchase or auction any Item from UBID.

I have made several electronic purchases from uBid. I started around 8 or 9 yrs bidding and purchasing from uBid. I have never had a problems. I recently purchased a new laptop about a month ago. Its replacing one that got about 8 years ago. It still works, just needed to upgrade to something new. Ive always received excellent service!!!I highly recommend them.

I have used UBid for over 7 years. I would not recommend any other auction site. They have always been good in refunds, if i had to return any product that have been damaged or did not work properly.
