    I would not suggest buying software from VioSoftware.com since the item you order may not be the item you receive.I would not recommend the use of this sales site to a friend.The item I ordered and what was represented on the invoice was: Windows Vista Home Basic OEM. What I received was Windows Vista Home Basic OEM Branded. After closer inspection I see it has: For Distribution Only With A New STAR PC. I started this inspection after I attempted to install on a Compaq Laptop that I recently replaced the hard drive on and only needed the install media to use with my valid liscence.

    Ordered what was puported to be a retail edition of Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard. What we received was confirmed by Adobe to be an OEM edition serial number (a less-expensive license that is only sold bundled with a computer), but was not in normal OEM packaging, which suggests that it is counterfeit. Vio Software has agreed to accept the return without penalty (only because I had not opened the package- the serial was visible through the packaging), but buyer beware...
