Never heard of The Nerds before this purchase, but they had the item I wanted in stock and they took Google Checkout. Ill be inclined to check them out next time Im shopping for electronics online.

while the order process was timely, only one box of two was received and this item was significantly damaged. The box is undamaged on arrival, so i am assuming the item was damaged prior to packaging and shipping. i have called customer support twice and spoke with Ricky and John. As of this note i still have no indication of what the resolution will be! please call me at 678-493-4011as of Today 07-22-08 I have an RMA # but still no indication of pick up arrangements for the damaged partial shippment. The frustration level with this order is increasing....

The Nerds? website had incorrect information. The wrong product was shipped as a result. After a struggle getting permission to return it; The Nerds charged a restocking fee. Though their website states 20% (for restocking a product they sent in error), since an extended warrantee was ordered for the returned product, their failure to refund the warrantee fee created a final cost of 35.12%, two plus weeks lost time, no response to email, ridiculously long times on hold waiting for The Nerds to answer the phone, terrible customer service, much frustration and the need to find another business that sells the originally ordered product. Beware; according to The Nerds? representative, if you receive your product in pieces (mine was shipped in an unpadded plastic envelope) and the web page say no returns under any circumstances, it?s your problem. No, I will not do business with The Nerds again.

I am a repeat customer. I would have placed my order for the "main" component had nerds price(s) were somewhat closer to the lowest price that i was able to locate in the net. (I ordered an sr11)
