    Ordered an OEM SCSI hard drive, no indication it was refurbished or used but it arrived looking a bit worn, and failed diagnostics. Bad sectors, failed Drive Self Test. I had to pay for shipping on return.

    I dont trust ServerSupply and neither should you. I ordred a drive based on a manufacturers part number, ST336607LW. That number defines all the parameters of the drive - speed, capacity, interface, everything. Theres no room for variation when you order that part number. One of the things that number defines in this case is a SCSI Ultra 320 wide interface. They shipped a drive with all the same specifications but an Ultra 160 interface. The part number they shipped was the same, but the specs were wrong. I contacted the manufacturer and they told me it was originally sold to Dell (makes sense, I was replacing a drive in a Dell server) but it was never manufacturer with an Ultra 160 interface. Something is suspicious about the drive I received. Given how old it was they didnt care to pursue the matter, but it was safe to say I wasnt in possession of a genuine Seagate drive, as they never produced something with the specifications that I had received. I returned the drive
