Everything abot the site is intuitive and straight forward and the prices are always competative. And after a few purchases they make it very easy to not bother shopping around knowing you are getting a good price and quick dleivery.

You even charged my credit card (through PayPal on 4/28/08 for $282.56), yet you send me the following email message:"Based on our records, item # 205986351 (Seagate 1TB FreeAgent Pro Hard Drive - Triple Interface (USB 2.0, eSATA & FireWire 400) External Hard Drive) has been delayed in the fulfillment process. We do not have an estimated shipping date at this time. You will receive a shipping confirmation email as soon as your order ships."Clearly your inventory folks are not talking to your sales folks.

"They may have low price.... but is it worth with bad customer support and service, worst delivery time. I use to shop at buy.com but never recived my orders on time. This time after many days of placing the order and 6 calls they informed that it was not shipped yet. on the first 5 calls they said the item is shipped. on questioning why is the tracking information not availabe they said, its a problem with the shipping company. Aksing for the supervisor, they said shes busy and will call me back, never got a call. I had to call them again and again. On questioning, why was i mis-informed on the first 5 calls that the item was shipped. she asked me to cancel my order... Atleast i know a place where i will never shop again. This company is on a downhill... lets wait for it to disappear. "

I ordered a plasma tv from buy.com on March 12th. It was listed as "on order for 3,225.00 shipped and since it was such a good price I placed the order knowing it would eventually be in stock. Over a month later I get an email from buy.com stating the product was no longer available from the manufacturer and the order was being cancelled. Wouldnt you know a short time later the plasma was back in stock for 4,199 shipped. I emailed Buy.com asking for them to reinstate the order and received the typical form letter stating to reorder the tv under a new order. Of course I wanted to pay the 3,225 not 4199 so I called the 800 number in the email and was told they can not reinstate the original order and will NOT match the price that I originally paid. This company is selling products that they dont have and/or at prices they will not honor. In my opinion they only cancelled my order so they wouldnt have to sell it to honor the lower price. I would recommend buying elsewhere!

The only thing you get here is a good price. Customer service is worse than having no customer service at all. If you need any customer service with Buy.com, let me save you the trouble and reply for them: "Tough Luck, better luck next time-forget about your money because we are keeping it". Keep this in mind if you think you may need and help or support at all.

I have purchased many, many items from Buy.com, and they have always been fast and cheap. Ive never had a problem but this time I did so I needed to contact customer service, and suddenly I understand all the negative feedback given on buy.coms CS. To add things up: I have spent over 2.5 hours on the phone with their CS center in India (took me quite some time to find the number at first). I have been transferred around and talked to 8 different CS representatives and after long waits two additional "supervisers". Im very courteous and diplomatic, but even so the two of the persons I talked to were very rude and actually hung up on me (one reprenentative, one superviser!!!)!!!! Never heard of such a thing before, let alone experiencing it first hand. Horrible, horrible customer service! Wil probably abandon buy.com in favor of amazon.com
