    Butterfly first called me to confirm shipping address (since it wasnt on file with the ordering credit card), which is totally acceptable.However, they then went on to attempt to up-sell me on their higher margin products which I didnt need (memory cards, lens filters). Once I made it clear I didnt need those things, the Canon 40D kit I wanted all of a sudden wasnt the factory kit and didnt come with a Canon lens. What a shocker!! Clearly an attempt to dissuade me from purchasing since the overall order was not going to be very profitable for them.Given the positive reviews on Butterfly photo, I was hoping they werent going to be yet another east coast electronics bait-and-switch shop, but I was wrong. Theres nothing wrong with attempting to up-sell your customers, but if the customer is not interested, then Butterfly should be prepared to sell the individual item as listed. If theyre not, then dont list it available as a separate item.

    I order a 58in plasma on Monday afternoon. The process was simple and I ordered over the phone because I was told it would speed things up. I woke up the next morning to an e-mail saying it had been shipped. I called and got the information for tracking and was told it would be here on Wednesday afternoon. Wednesday around 4:30 the tv was here, and in great condition. I plugged it in and am watching it now. I have had no problems with this merchant. If your looking at a purchasing an item from them and are in doubt of trusting them, I say go for it. I honestly am very happy with my purchase.

    I do not usually write reviews but I want to let folks know that Butterfly Photo is an excellent company to do business with. I had difficulty finding a scrupulous photo company and one even caused my to cancel my credit card to prevent them from charging it. Butterfly Photo, however, told me they had the camera in stock, shipped it FedEx 2nd day and kept me informed both by the Website and by e-mails. Butterfly even let me know the day it shipped, the day it would arrive and I was advised a signature was required so I could arrange to be there. The camera was at a very fair price and shipping was free. A company cannot do any better than that! Thanks Butterfly Photo!

    This was my third time ordering from Butterfly Photo so I expected no trouble. When we ordered the camera, it was to come within 3-5 days. When we didnt receive it, we called the office and the first representative we talked to told us it would be guaranteed by Saturday. When we never got it I called again and this time, another representative told me that FedEx doesnt deliver on Saturdays. Annoyed, I called back over and over again, each time getting a different answer and never getting a camera. Finally, one lady said she will give us a refund so happy with that, I hung up. A week later, I never got my refund so I called back to hear that the representative I talked to never filed a refund.Irritated I demanded to talk to a supervisor but I was only transferred AGAIN. After filing my refund with me on the phone, they hung up. I called back asking if the refund was filed correctly but I was only met with attitude. I would not recommend or order from here again after this experience.

    I ordered a Sony KDL40W4100 from Butterfly Photo on Monday, July 1. I got the confirmation call with sales pitches for HDMI cables and the extended warrenty. I declined both and the sales person told me to expect delivery in 10 to 14 days. That was fine with me. Later that evening I got a follow up email saying the TV had shipped. It also gave me me the tracking number. Checking with the Fedex site the delivery date was for the 3. So, butterfly upgraded my shipping and today the TV has arrived in perfect condition and I am now enjoying it. Would purchase from them again.

    I was very satisfied with my purchase from Butterfly Photo. The Sony camcorder was new and exactly what I purchased. I also purchased an extra battery and camera case. The battery was about half the price of what I could get it in a store here locally but, when it arrived it was some off-brand that was not pictured on the website. However, when I called customer service they sent me another battery with no questions asked at no charge. Unfortunately, I got another off-brand but, the battery works and the customer service representatives were very nice and did their best to make the situation right.

    I will admit this is the first time to use this merchant, but i have purchased many items online and i must say that they have been the most enjoyable experience ive had. they are efficient, prompt, professional, and honest. i will be purchasing more products from them in the future and i urge anyone you is interested in a purchase from this company, by all means do not hesitate.

    This is my 2nd purchase from Butterfly Photo and both were terrific experiences. I would definately purchase from them again. Price was excellent, ordering was easy and shipment came to me in perfect condition.

    I ordered a Samsung LN52A750 HDTV after a pal ordered a smaller one from them several months ago. His experience was great. Little hassle in the confirmation call, and his came air in a few days even though he declined expedited shipping. Look at the ratings over time. They are dropping. That makes sense. Ive had nothing but trouble. Web site and salesman say it is in stock, but customer service says they are waiting for a shipment. Each call Im told 2 or 3 days until they are in. They say "well expedite shipping", but without product, whats the point. No contact from Butterfly. I must call and email. I get a different person each time. Im still waiting for my TV (over a week now with no end in sight) as Im foolish enough to keep buying the "2 or 3 more days". My pal was very happy. Im very unhappy. If I can update this review as I either cancel or get my order, I will.
