I hope it meets my expectations when I start using it.July 21st: I figured out how to use it only because I am smart and over 60. People with minimal experience in electricity and computers and electronics will be stumped by the faulty Maxtor manual and website. However, once you know how, it all works perfectly. This took me some time, so it is no wonder others are stumped. I saw many angry comments about that on the internet. We are talking about a very cheap fix Maxtor could easily do.So, Maxtor was the only drawback. CompUSA was excellent!

I was never notified (a) that there was a delay or (b) that the order from the vendor had been cancelled, therefore my order had been cancelled. This was a gift that I order WELL in advance of the July 25th birthday - now I am stuck without a gift.
