Strengths: Very portable, light weight and get compartments
Weaknesses: Zipper puller is not sturdy enough
Overall Evaluation: This is the perfect bag if you do anything athletic. It keeps everything well organized and easily accessible. The only problem I have had is the zipper pull is not sturdy enough it seams. I bought mine at www.pictureline.com and they replaced the zipper pull for no charge. My friend just replaced his with a heavier duty zipper pull that he picked up somewhere. None the less, this has been a great bag.

Strengths: Excellent construction, build quality. Smart design, convenient to grab camera. Compact for hiking, comfortable strap.
Weaknesses: Only big enough for 2-3 lenses and a SMALLER dslr camera. Shoulder strap would have been more natural to drape over the left shoulder (I'm right handed).
Overall Evaluation: The size is actually very convenient to me since I don't want to carry much, just the essentials. If you need more than 2-3 lenses + flashes, accessories, or have a bigger dslr choose the 200. This one is pretty compact. It feels like it was built very well and was intuitively designed. It's a snug fit for my *ist DL, so a bigger camera may be too tight. Again, my only nitpick is the way the shoulder strap hangs, wish it was from the left shoulder. All in all, very satisfied since it's a great value.

Strengths: Good padding, quality manufacturing, smart use of space, quick and easy to use.
Weaknesses: Just a little too small for medium size lens such as canon 70-200mm f/4
Overall Evaluation: After reading so many positive reviews, I got this bag from a local camera store. I love it! Its unique "Slig" design makes retrieving my 30D really quick and easy. The major compartment space is enough to hold one canon 30D body with 17-40mm f/4 mounted, 28-138mm IS and a 50mm 1.8 lenses. The upper bag can store flash, cables and lens clean kit. I leave my battery charge and CF cards in the outer pocket. One more thing i like to mention is its built-in water proof cover. Just so easy to protect all your stuffs in the bag when there comes an unexpected rain, like what I had when I was in Vancouver, BC, last month. This bag maybe too small to accommodate long lenses. Other than that this is a great bag!

Strengths: Well designed, great quality, fair price!
Weaknesses: none
Overall Evaluation: The bag is so well designed that there's no worry about having the bag opening up and having all your expense gear fall out. The opening where you remove the camera has straps that prevent it from opening all the way by accident. All in all I am very satisfied with the bag. I would recommend it to anyone but if you have more than a couple of lenses to your photography arsenal I would upgrade to the Slingshot 200AW.

Strengths: Design, ease of use, size and construction
Weaknesses: Inside divider system
Overall Evaluation: This bag is great! It is easier to use than a conventional backpack camera bag. The bag swings easily and quickly to position for easy access to my camera. There is ample room for an extra lens and if you need more space, the maker does have a larger version. The only short coming is the partition system on the inside of the bag. It does not have a whole lot of flexibility. I highly recommend this bag to anyone looking for a backpack style camera bag.

Strengths: Smart design does what's advertised - quick camera accessDurable fabric, comfortable padded strapCompact design
Weaknesses: Compact design results in minimal "extra" storageLonger telephoto lenses may not fitVelcro pads not fully adjustable
Overall Evaluation: The SlingShot is a solid, durable camera bag that does exactly what it's meant to do -- provides compact, comfortable storage when not in use, yet provides easy and quick access to the camera by slinging the bag from back to chest. Design is smart. Main padded area holds a DSLR with attached lens (long telephotos may not fit). Top storage section is handy - about the size of a softball, but not large enough to carry a jacket, rather it'd store a couple granola bars, PDA/cell phone and maybe an extra battery and charger. Material feels quite durable and the sling is well padded and adjustable. The "AW" all weather cover is nicely hidden away in a velcro storage pocket on the bottom. Only true negative is that the velcro adjustable pads in the main compartment are somewhat limited in their ability to be manipulated into different sizes/shapes -- so that some camera shapes may not fit perfectly -- but they are thick and seem to provide ample protection. If you're looking for a handy, compact, smartly designed photojournalist camera bag for quick trips or general walk around camera carrying - this is a great choice. If you're looking for a single purpose "daypack" camera bag that will store both camera and some food, bottled water, and spare clothes/items, then this is not the bag for you.

Strengths: Lots of storage, not overly bulky, lots of protection for the camera. Huge plus that it can be worn, out of the way while still shooting pictures, and is at the same time easily accessible
Weaknesses: None
Overall Evaluation: Overall a great product, the raincover is also a nice little bonus as well. For the money I think it is one of the best bags out there. It provides good protection for your pricey investment and gives you the storage that is needed.

Strengths: great protection for all your gear able to access camera without removing the bag
Weaknesses: none
Overall Evaluation: I have a Nikon D70S camera and I am able to carry the camera with the following equipment: SB800 Flash, 3 pack of lens filters, extra batteries for the flash, extra memory cards, there is a spot for an additional lens when i decide to get it, and I also carry my Nikon 7900 in this case also. This bag is a great design for someone that doesn't want something to big but yet again able to hold alot of gear. the weather proof cover is also a great addition I needed it one day and it was easy to access to cover the bag. Great bag...and I did compare it to many other types of bags.

Strengths: lots of pockets, good padding / sturdy shape, well organized, quality materials
Weaknesses: Some will see size as a weakness, but that's not really fair.
Overall Evaluation: This is a great bag for quick access to a digital SLR with a small to medium lengh lens. It has well thought out storage for minimal gear. The bag is not intended to hold massive ammounts of gear or really long lenses.

Duration of ownership:2 Weeks
Strengths: adjustable dividers, microfiber screen protector, can be carried by sling or handle, zipper stops prevent accidental opening, security of having this bag attached to your body
Weaknesses: main compartment could be larger, top accessory compartment needs additonal padding
Overall Evaluation: Just purchased with new digital SLR. Was going to purchase a standard "bag" until I saw another salesman demonstrating the Slingshot for another customer. Really liked the idea of being able to throw it over the shoulder and have it out of the way but also has easy access to the compartments by spinning it around. No more setting a bag down in the mud and dirt just to open. Time will tell on the durability but previous experience with Lowe products leads me to believe I will have this bag for many years.
