Duration of ownership:2 Days
Strengths: 30 black and white color print per minute, high resolution: 4800x1200 DPI, give me a smooth and nice picture. Small size: easy for moving or carry with me.
Weaknesses: Too expensive HP color Inkjet Print Cartridges. So, I had to refill my cartridges after it was out.
Overall Evaluation: After I searched around for few weeks, I decided to buy this Photo Printer from Meijer. I bought this Photo Printer to print many pictures of my newborn son. Because of its high qualification, printing nice and high-qualified pictures, I printed many picture without thinking about the expensive Print Cartridges I had to buy later. After a day long, I checked its price in the store and online, its cartridges cost about $62.99 for the HP 97 Tricolor Twinpack. I decided to go with refill the all my Cartridges. So, if you don't care how much of this print cartridges, you can buy this Photo Printer.

Duration of ownership:6 Days
Strengths: good quality printing, fast if noisy
Weaknesses: absolutely awful paper handling -- grabs paper unevenly, jams, grabs more than one page at a time, claims the paper tray is empty -- name it
Overall Evaluation: I usually like HP products, but this one is a bust. Have been using it for +/- 6 months and am about to give up. I would not buy it again, and I look askance at other HP products with the same type of paper feed.

Duration of ownership:1 Weeks
Strengths: fast and good text printing, ok photo printing, compact.
Weaknesses: not the best quality photo printer.
Overall Evaluation: It's a good printer to have for both text printing and occasional photo and graphics printing. Text printing is fast and crisp. Photos and graphics are good enough for normal occasions, and very convenient with the pictbridge direct printing; yet the quality may not compete with the higher end photo printers from Canon and Epson.

Duration of ownership:4 Months
Strengths: quick, quiet, not confusing, effecient, brilliant color, sleek looking, small
Weaknesses: I've heard the cartridges are expensive, but I haven't gotten there yet.
Overall Evaluation: This printer has been very useful for everyone in my family, including two girls who have to go to school and use it almost every night. It's very fast compared to the crappy one that we had before. It's easy to figure out. You don't even have to look at the owner's manual to understand what it means wen the lights come on. I highly recommend it.

Duration of ownership:1 Months
Strengths: small size, economical cost, nice looking, functions smoothly
Weaknesses: ink cartridge costs. paper catches on tray extension causing printed paper to bow
Overall Evaluation: I have been using the printer for one month. It works just great. Small size allows me to store it in cabinet while not using it. Reproductions are really great. No major complaints.

Duration of ownership:
Strengths: easy to replace ink cartidges, great color, small form, less complicated to use than others!
Weaknesses: ink cartridges expensive(but I guess you get what you pay for)
Overall Evaluation: I purchased this on the advice of the salesman on my needs for scrapbooking, picture printing, printing documents and I am not sorry. I definetly got my monies worth!!! The printer is definetly printer friendly, and for those of us who need a book for "printers for Dummies", there will be no need. Well worth the money. After using my last printer, which was complicated and hard to get to and cleaning it every week from ink leaking, etc. I'd never go back to epson. I love my HP Deskjet 5940 and I am willing to pay the price for the ink cartridges.

Duration of ownership:1
Strengths: Small form, inexpensive, nice color reproduction
Weaknesses: Expensive ink cartridges
Overall Evaluation: I've just set up the printer and printed several photos. The color reproduction is great. The small footprint allows it to easily fit on my desk. HP prints are always high quality but the replacement ink is always more expensive than other brands.
