    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Easy to install, good signal, driver is easy to install.

    Weaknesses: N/A yet.

Overall Evaluation: I wanted to install a internal wireless card in my dell latitude C640 notebook. I chose mini-PCI wireless card because I don't like cardbus wireless card because you have to unplug it before you pack the notebook. I strongly suggest to read the manual carefully to learn how to open notebook to replace internal card. Make sure your laptop has antenna for minipci wireless card. As soon as you open the notebook, it's very easy to replace the card. It runs very well on my laptop. The speed of internet is fast. I am pretty satisfied with this card.

Strengths: Easy installation for someone who knows how to open up the laptop. Straight forward software (driver) installation.

    Weaknesses: None.

Overall Evaluation: My Toshiba laptop came with a Centrino chip set with Intel 2100/b adapter. Now that I have upgraded my home wireless network to 802.11g, I was looking to upgrade the laptop to 54g. I found this great deal on Buy.com via Pricegrabber. Installation of hardware went without any hitch, since I have opened my laptop a couple of times in the past to fix the internal speaker, and knew my way around. After booting up, Win XP recognized the new adapter and launched New Hardware Wizard. But I cancelled it and went to the Intel driver installer on the CD that came with the adapter. The driver was installed without any hiccups and now I have a Centrino compatible 54g wireless connection in the laptop. There is significant increase in my local WLAN bandwidth for serving movies. The internet connection speed of course did not increase, since my DSL speed is 1.5 Mbps which is well below even my older 802.11b network setup at 11 Mbps. I am very satisfied with the quality of Intel hardware and driver software.
