Duration of ownership:3 Years
Strengths: Everything
Weaknesses: NON
Overall Evaluation: I am a salesman and I have owned a Toshiba tablet for over 3 years now and I will never own another straight laptop again. This computer has out lasted my last three laptops with less needs for service than all my previous units put together. Durable robust and flat out for me as a salesman demoing literature and presentations taking orders just anything its the bomb

Overall Evaluation: If you are looking for the most bang for your buck when it comes to laptop computers, then look no further than the Toshiba R15-S829 Tablet PC. It gives you everything you require in a standard laptop computer plus the huge bonus of the Tablet capabilities. This has been a great laptop for me and I am sure that you will find that to be the case as well.

Strengths: Works well with most programs.
Weaknesses: Heavy
Overall Evaluation: Good all around tablet PC that is powerful enough to replace your normal laptop. The writing recognition is good and the keyboard types well. It has a lot of bang for the buck. The specs are great for the price and its screen looks great. The provided programs are mostly trials but its okay becuase there are a lot of free tablet pc programs floating around.

Strengths: I love this tablet pc. It's great to run a pc with the option of using the stylus pen or touchpad instead of a mouse. (...) I haven't used the cd/dvd burner yet, but, I'm glad it is included. This pc has everything I need. The only drawback for me was
Weaknesses: very heavy weight
Overall Evaluation: 1) Toshiba a very long life brand reputation in electronics specially labtops. 2) The price is so economic, with greats hardware specs. 3) The functions of the tables are amazing, very elegant and very compact, a tablet with all needs, its a real smart results made. 4) The software included, as we know toshiba never leavs anything needed behind, all apps. included and other software can be found

Strengths: Handwriting Recognition, DVD/CD Drive, Screen
Weaknesses: Preloaded Apps, Weight, Battery
Overall Evaluation: For my first Tablet and Laptop I think I went with the right choice. The preloaded hardware and capabilities are great for the price. Overall a great computer, if anything I'd like to be able to customize it at time of purchase.

Strengths: 80G hard drive, SD slot, dual layer burner and I like the volume thumb wheel on the front & the silver finish:)
Weaknesses: too many Toshiba apps running in the background, but they can be shut off. It's not a light weight, but livable.
Overall Evaluation: What my choice came down to was 'what do I get for the money'! This has what I actually NEED, for a price I couldn't beat anywhere. I do lots of Photoshop work (with the SD slot) and find 512 MB of RAM is OK, especially if you close off some of those background apps. Wireless features work flawlessly, and I actually make good use of the tablet functions. My clients can read & sign paperwork in the field and I then fax or e-mail copies to them instantly using my cell. For storage, RAM, speed, and overall utility, I can't fault it, or beat it, for under $1600. I got mine, after rebate, for $999.

Strengths: Well built; amazing technology tablet computers.
Weaknesses: not enough memory; too many toshiba programs running; not truebright monitor.
Overall Evaluation: Overall it's a nice computer, but it needs lots more memory, one of the reason, it's because Toshiba load the computer with too many programs/features/software, which makes the computer very very slow.

Strengths: Purchased the R10 with 2.0GHz, 1GB ram, 80GB HD. Pros very solid feel, strong rotation device for tablet operation, full version of onenote and InkArt. Great feel for screen writing vs Gateway.
Weaknesses: speakers are placed under the screen when rotated to tablet. Weak graphics and no options as on most tablets.
Overall Evaluation: Overall a really nice notebook a bit on the heavy side but a solid sytem. Able to play games such as the Sims 2 but forget about really intense gaming. Since the system is not targeted at artists or 3d folks it seems ok not to have a stong graphics option; however the tablet functionality is so wonderful for just these purposes that some smart computer company should make a system geared to this market soon. Using the system I am able to run, multiple memory intensive programs at the same time, while numerous browser windows are open. Highly usable notebook/desktop replacement with a tablet. Best price available for comensurate system by far.

Strengths: laptop converted tablet, dvdrw, wifi, 80gb, big screen. nice recognizer
Weaknesses: only 512MB ram, HD slow, no extra digital pen
Overall Evaluation: I got this tablet pc two days back and i am already in love with this toy. It has everything one wants from a laptop in addition to the added features of tablet pc. it does recognise some poor writings :). DVD burner is a nice feature added to these tablet pcs. The system runs slow may be b'cos of limited ram which came with it or the slow hard drive. I will be putting one 1gb stick in it.over all i like it and very happy with the price i paid for this tablet.

Strengths: Pentium M 735 Processor - 14.1" Screen - DVD±RW/DVD±RW Drive - SD Slot
Weaknesses: Weight
Overall Evaluation: Toshiba still proves to be an elite leader in the tablet PC market by equipping this computer with an Intel Pentium M 1.70 GHz processor, a 14-inch screen, and a CD/DVD dual-layer burner. The device works well as a notebook/tablet PC/media player for my family because of the following reasons:First, the design makes this medium-size notebook quite portable for traveling. Second, the screen swivels and converts the notebook into a tablet. It works like a large-screen PDA. Third, we also use it as a portable DVD player during long trips although an extra battery is needed.Overall, Satellite R15-S829 has Toshiba's excellence for a reasonable price and goes hand-in-hand with my Toshiba e755 PDA.
