  Strengths: Effective. Won't slow your computer down. Easy to install and operate.

  Weaknesses: At first, annoying little pop-ups telling you the program is updating. Simple to deactivate.

  Overall Evaluation: I prefer this program to Norton's or McAfee's. It's just as effective but easier to navigate than the pricier others. It won't slow down the computer on boot like Norton's. It was easy to install and operate.

  Strengths: Simple,Adjustable settings to your needs,Free Tech Support-not ridiculous like Nortons $30.00 per problem. Great Internet Security.

  Overall Evaluation: I definitely am very well pleased with this software. Smooth and very reasonable priced. Allfour of the anti virus test that I have tried rates this program at 100% detection. I will never go back to Norton.

  Strengths: Easy to install, allows for free upgrade to 2007 version.

  Weaknesses: Generates alot of warnings on which have to be allowed access, these slow down as time goes on

  Overall Evaluation: A good virus scan& firewall. The 2006 edition I installed on one PC. And I upgraded to the 2007 version on another PC.Both work about the same. ( The 2007 ver. seems to have more messages to respond to.) I would say this is easier software to administer than Norton/Symantic. A good alternative to others which have alot of bells and whistles which you don't need. And have too many "big brother" programs. Allows you to tailor to you needs.

  Strengths: good protection.

  Weaknesses: too intrusive.

  Overall Evaluation: Product would be much better if it did not drive you crazy with notices,warnings,etc. Sometimes it is hard to accomplish anything with all the interuptions, notices, warnings that you have to stop and fix.

  Strengths: Easy Installation. Excellent Internet Security. Excellent Anti Virus and Anti Spam

  Weaknesses: Frequent updates are annoying, but tolerable.

  Overall Evaluation: Excellent product. I have used Trend before this purchase and will continue to use Trend PC-Cillin Internet Security. Prior to switching to Trend, I used Norton for years. Over the past few years, Norton became so large that it drained computer resources to run.Trend does not consume excessive computer resources. It is easy to install and operate. It is very good at picking up spam mail also.

  Overall Evaluation: Great Product, better than most of the competition. All-in One product that is perfect for the desk-top and lap-top. Updates and protects your computer with ease and it user friendly.

  Weaknesses: have not had it long enough to find them

  Overall Evaluation: I had a 30 trial version that I upgraded with a $12 "promotional-not for retail" version bought through PriceGrabber. I was concerned at first about it being labeled "promotional" but the system took the new code number and it is running fine so far. I will probably buy another one when the other computer needs a anti-virus renewal.

  Overall Evaluation: I have had less problem with PC Cillin than I've had with Norton or McCafee. It has worked great with my wireless network. I will continue to use this product.

  Strengths: Very stable product. It simply works. Reliable updates automatically installed.

  Weaknesses: Anti Fraud component not very intuitive. Had to disablee it.

  Overall Evaluation: This product's interface is easy to follow except for the Fraud section (BTW, I've never seen a product that did this well.) The updates work well and the protection seems automatic and reliable. I have replaced Norton and McAfee products which have been buggy of late with several copies of this product and have been very happy with the result.

  Strengths: Anti virus and internet security seems to be good.

  Weaknesses: Too many pop-ups needing user selections. Outlook email locks up sometimes or sits for a long time doing spam filtering.

  Overall Evaluation: I've been a norton user for years and didn't want to pay the yearly subscription price again. I saw a $0 Net price promotion at OfficeMax and thought I'd give it a try. App is OK, but Trend Micro is a little dishonest. The rebate was to mail-ins, $20 and $25. Both required original UPCs so the $20 rebate was declined. When I called them and explained the flawed rebate, they agreed the second rebate was not claimable, but could not do anything. I think I'm going back to Norton.
