    Duration of ownership:1 Weeks

Strengths: + Easy to install / setup. + Light weight. + T60 & T61 compatible. + SATA150 interface. + Hot swappable (assuming HD is hot swappable) + Saves allocating a USB port to an external HD.

Weaknesses: - Expensive compared to 2.5" external enclosures. - Bulky. - Sacrifice the use of an optical drive.

Overall Evaluation: I bought this SATA hard drive bay adapter to hold the extra 2.5" hard drive (160 Seagate Momentus), which I just swapped out. The installation was quick and simple as the hard drive does not need to have the metal bezel or the rubber edge guards put on before placing the hard drive into the adapter. Overall it was much easier to prep a 2.5" hard drive for this adapter than to prep a HD for the primary HD bay in my T61p laptop. I was happy to find that this drive bay adapter uses the more power saving SATA150 interface. Furthermore, there are springs on the side and a flip bar on the bottom to ensure that the hard drive does not shift during movement/travel.On the downside, the drive bay adapter is a bit expensive. In retrospect, I could have bought an external 2.5" hard drive enclosure for ~$10 which would be more transferable from computer to computer and less bulky to carry outside of the laptop. If you are willing to sacrifice the use of an optical disk drive, not willing to dedicate one of the three precious T60/61 USB ports to an external hard drive, and willing to spend the extra ~$40, definitely do pick one of these HD adapters up. I have not had any problems with mine yet.

Strengths: Hot swappable, fast and easy.

    Weaknesses: None

Overall Evaluation: This is a must have accessaries if you want to have a second hard disk in your Lenovo T series laptop. It is hot swappable, extra storage or backup your main disk couldn't be easier. Although it is pricy, but worth to have it.

    Duration of ownership:7 Days

Strengths: Easy to put 2.5 inch sata drive into unit and unit slides into the x6 Ultrabay easily.

Weaknesses: Don't put bad drive into Adapter. I had to rebuild the laptop drive after the bad drive in the docking station corrupted my main drive.

Overall Evaluation: The Adapter was easy to use and was a good way to duel boot both XP with Vista. I have not had any trouble doing that, but when I put a bad drive into the adapter to run diagnostics on it, my main laptop drive got an immediate write error and I had to completly rebuild the drive to get my system back. Luck would have it that I did a full DVD backup a few days before, so I did not lose anything important.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: 1. Can use Norton Ghost to back up your priority HDD.2. Solid build.3. Easy to install.

    Weaknesses: none.

Overall Evaluation: I common problem for everyone using T60 is people is unable to use USB drive to ghost entire priority drive. There is solution, but takes long way. I finish installation this device within 2 min. And able to ghost the priority drive to the secondary drive without any problem. A must have product for all T60 or T61 user.
