    Overall Rating: 4 Star Review

    Duration of ownership:4 Months

Strengths: Excellent sound, plays MP3 files, wired remote control.

Weaknesses: Remote control buttons are small.

Overall Evaluation: This is an excellent player and one of the few that plays MP3 files. Sound quality is very good and I play play three Audio Book CDs on an alkaline battery. The wired remote is nice but the buttons are small and it is very easy to press the wrong function. The user manual is awkward to follow and the control buttons take some getting used to as they are not what you might think just looking at them. Overall I am very happy with this player and recommend it.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Remote control, plays MP3 files, excellent sound quality.

Weaknesses: Display not backlit, AC adapter is extra cost. Buy your own carry case.

Overall Evaluation: Very nice portable player, good sound, no skipping. Love the remote and ability to play MP3. The LCD is not backlit and a bit small. The controls take some getting used to, so have the manual handy the first few days. I use the player with a Jabra Bluetooth Music Adapter and Bluetooth Headphones and the sound is wonderful. This player is a bit pricey compared to most others, but they do not have remote, MP3 capability.

Strengths: 1.many functions (AM/FM/TV/weather station)2. support audio CD, mp3 CD, ATRAC CD3 long battery life (one AA battery up to 40 hours playing)4. Good sound quality.

Weaknesses: 1.somewhat thick. 2. one has to remove the cd to replace the battery3. no LCD display on remore control.4.doesn't come with an AC adapter.

Overall Evaluation: This is a high quality cd player. One ATRAC CD can hold as many as 600 songs! (when using the sonicstage software). It has many play mode and one can choose how much bass to come out. The included earphone is decent. It can display a-z, 0-9, and "-". No other character is supported.

    Duration of ownership:3 Weeks

Strengths: good sound quality, with AM/FM radio. one battery.

    Weaknesses: NO power cord included

Overall Evaluation: I got this CD player for three weeks, and really like it. it's very good quality, and worth the money I paid. It's a little noisy when it plays CD,which is the only problem I can find.

    Strengths: Very good sound quality

Weaknesses: Slow response time to implement functions

Overall Evaluation: The sound quality is very good. You may need to spend time with the instruction booklet because Sony has included many functions with few buttons. Also the instruction booklet does not exactly match the way the player operates. Some trial and error time is needed. The response time to start/stop a function is quite slow (this may be because it uses only 1 battery). For cost and quality, this is a very good buy.

    Overall Rating: 4 Star Review

    Duration of ownership:5 Days

Strengths: High quality sound. Decent radio antenna. Lightweight. Uses only one AA battery.

Weaknesses: Making program adjustments is very complicated. Kepp the manual handy. Earbuds are "cheap". Lacks any sort of "handle" to hold onto it while excerising.

Overall Evaluation: This player is typical Sony quality, which is to say, very good. The sound quality is fine. The FM radio strength is good, although the AM antenna seems weak. My biggest complaint is that all the "adjustments" that one has to make -- e.g. bass level, station presets, etc -- are rather non-intuitive. They're all there, but you'd better keep the manual handy. Two months from now you won't be able to figure out what to do without it. Also seems like the inexpensive earbuds supplied are not in keeping with the quality of the rest of the package.

    Duration of ownership:1 Weeks

Strengths: Uses only one battery! I like that. Can play for 31 hrs on an MP3 cd more or less.

Weaknesses: The TV tuner might not be useful if its an analog tuner. No more analog tv signals in '09. No ac adapter (not very important.)

Overall Evaluation: Great cd player. My old cd player started making a grinding type noise. It was a Sony, it was giving to me like 3-5 years ago, can't believe it lasted this long! Already on 2nd battery! Like the remote that came with it. Very useful. Like the feture that it can play cd-rws because I change my music very often. I would recommend this product to anyone who need a protable cd player.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: THE OUT PUT, AND WORK WITH ONE AA BAT.

Weaknesses: LIMITED WITH CONTROLS, BUT ITS THE BEST ON THE MARKET.

Overall Evaluation: ITS A GREAT LITTLE SYSTEM, AND IT'S A HEAD OF THE REST OF THE PORTABLE UNITS..... I JUST WANTED MORE. INDOORS THE RADIO IS LIMITED, BUT THAT'S INSIDE A CLOSED BUILDING W/O OPEN WINDOWS. IT'S A SONY!

    Duration of ownership:1 Days

    Strengths: power output

    Weaknesses: TV and Weather channels

Overall Evaluation: Up until now it had become hard to find a portable cd player with a decent power output-most of them put out about 5mW. This particular Sony not only has triple that rating but also has a really effective and fun to use eq along with an adjustable bass boost. The little earphones that come with it are better than you might think but hook up something like Bose Triports or Sennheiser pw100 headphones and it sounds downright amazing. It has lots of features such as 18 different play modes, a really good FM tuner, and a remote control. The weather channels and the TV channels are not good but that just may have something to do with my location. The reason I picked this up was for the hefty output and let me tell you Sony did it right this time.

    Overall Rating: 4 Star Review

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Small size, great looking design, sony quality

Weaknesses: Headphone jack somewhat sensitive to not making good contact.

Overall Evaluation: The Sony walkman is very nicely made, fit and finish is fantastic, the unit plays Cd's very well, with high quality sound and no skipping. The is one drawback though, the headphone connection seems loose on the headphone jack and sometimes the connection brakes contact and the sound is switched to mono or stops altogether. The playback time is exceptional with the included rechargeable battery and better yet when you add the optional alkaline battery. I love the unit except for the quirky headphone connection
