Strengths: Very good at making ringtones, screensavers, transferring data to phones. Allows charging of phones through USB connection.
Weaknesses: Does not allow me to pipe a phone call through my computer mic and speakers as far as I can see, even though you can dial from your computer. I need to reinstall and redetect the phone every time I s
Overall Evaluation: If you can get this software with a cable for less than 20 bucks, it is totally worth it. There are some things that I think need to be addressed, like having to redect the phone every so often and not being able to use my computer mic and speakers for calls, but the strengths still outweigh the weaknesses. Being able to make your own ringtones and screensavers is awesome, as is the easy to use file transfer studio. I use this software on my Razr V3 and my Razr V3i, and it works well. Would buy again.

Strengths: Very easy to use.
Weaknesses: None that I could find yet.
Overall Evaluation: As a software "junkie" I would have to say that Motorola got this one right. I could not use my Razr V3 effectively for uploading or downloading pictures or data without it. And it don't waste minutes.

Strengths: Effective at creating & transfering ringtones
Weaknesses:
Overall Evaluation: I bought the software simply so that I could manipulate MP3's into ringtones and it does it really well. It also has the abilitiy to sync addresses to and from outlook. I have not used this feature because I do not want every phone number that I have in my Outlook contacts to be on my mobile phone. It does everything that I expected from it.

Strengths: it's a quality cable; it connects solidly and no issues with accidental disconnection.
Weaknesses: no option to connect power, so extended use is impossible.
Overall Evaluation: It's the OEM cable, so it's quality. They've included both a mini-usb cable (presumably because their new phones use it), and the proprietary connection they've had for some time now. I'm using the proprietary cable, and it's given me no trouble. FYI, this product may not work with Verizon's phones unless you've opted to hack your phone; however, customers of other carriers should not have trouble.

Strengths: It loaded to my phone and PC
Weaknesses: It shook up other environments unexpectedly and did not work as advertised. Part of this due to Verizon, not Motorola. Documentation for product was not strong enough to determine usability.
Overall Evaluation: I believe this product could be useful under different service provider, as Verizon has turned off the ability to use certain features (as I understand it). In my case, it was not a good purchase.

Strengths: Allows you to download images and ringtones to a wide range of Motorola phones. Also allows Address Book and Calendar sync with Outlook.
Weaknesses: Some bugs - see below
Overall Evaluation: On the whole, for $20 I'd buy it. It's not perfect though. Comes with two different USB data cables. Also syncs via Bluetooth with wife's L7 SLVR. Also has drivers to make your phone look like a USB or Bluetooth modem. Some bugs: have to configure Outlook to believe that it talks to an Exchange server to get the sync to work (something that I didn't have to do for Palm/Intellisync Hotsync); Alarms & appt. durations don't transfer correctly to my V180.

Strengths: Very Intuitive. Easy to transfer photos and sounds to or from the computer. Easy to backup phone info onto computer.
Weaknesses: Sometimes it can be crabby about connecting to the phone.
Overall Evaluation: I am using this utility with a Motorola V557 phone on the Cingular network. The computer is a Compaq Presario P3/850mhz running Windows XP/Pro SP2. I asked about a utility that would meet my requirements when I bought the phone at a Cingular retail store. They sold me a cord and told me to go to the Internet and download. WRONG! It took a bit of internet research (thanks Google) to turn up this utility, but it was EXACTLY what I wanted! I returned the expensive cable to the Cingular store. The utility has an excellent graphical representation of the actual phone, making it quite intuitive to use. The functions that I wanted the most included file (photos & sounds) transfer to/from the PC and a way to backup the phone contact information. All of this was easily accomplished. I still want to try using the cell phone as a modem, but haven't gotten this far.

Strengths: very easy to use, saves me a lot of money on ringtones and allows me to down/upoad all photos and music files
Weaknesses: none
Overall Evaluation: Very good seller. Fast shipment, more than I expected. Highly recommend. This product is wonderful. I have so much flexibility with what I want on my phone, from ringtones to pictures. I wish Motorola would offer as a free download like Nokia, but I saved about 30 bucks with this seller.

Strengths: It works.
Weaknesses: It's required.
Overall Evaluation: Should be provided at no additional cost with the purchase of a Motorola cell phone (i.e. RAZR/SLVR). The fact that it wasn't an included accessory with my phone will keep me from purchasing Motorola products in the future.

Strengths: once I got the product to work it was fine.
Weaknesses: I had to call moto to have them install drivers for it to work.
Overall Evaluation: great product for half the price, I love it. I herd about this product so I bought it. I transferd my pictures from my phone to my coumpter, and programed my e-mail addresses from outlook express to my phone. real simple.
