    Strengths: Very good camera.

    Weaknesses: No rebate!!

Overall Evaluation: First of all I sent in my rebate items I was supose to send in to get a $30.00 rebate check. Never happened. They said the code was missing. I had a copy and sent it in again, and still nothing. So be careful about those rebates.

    Overall Rating: 5 Star Review

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: 12X Optical zoom, Optical Image Stabilizer, great pictures, movie mode, included rechargeable battery.

Weaknesses: Can't use AA batteries, doesn't support conversion lenses.

Overall Evaluation: This camera takes great pictures and comes with 12 X optical zoom. There is a charger, although it cannot use standard AA batteries even though they do fit. The movie mode looks really good and takes up much less space than other cameras. It uses SD memory cards, which are cheaper than other formats.

Strengths: powerful 12X zoom lens, bright 2.5-inch LCD

Weaknesses: not very good image quality for a 6MP camera

Overall Evaluation: The quality of the pictures is not as good as i expected. The reason i bought this camera, is becasue its 12x optical zoom and 2.5" LCD. I have used this camera for about a week, i really like its battery, last for more than 200 shots.

    Overall Rating: 1 Star Review

    Duration of ownership:1 Months

Strengths: Looks cute, easy to learn, light weight, 12x zoom sounds impressive, Li-ion battery (personally I prefer the more reliable and longer lasting Li-ion than AAs)

Weaknesses: 1. very low IQ LCD2. unreliable AF, AE3. Severe red eye problem4. Reset date when battery is removed for recharge5. Camera freezes when removing picture during review sometimes.

Overall Evaluation: Notes: I am only talking about the full auto mode. The other modes I tried were even worse. For example the night portrait, or moving object, etc. I happen to believe that the full auto mode is the best bench mark of a camera. If it's reliable, you have better luck with other more advanced side of the camera. More details on the problems: #1. images are blurry at the best on the LCD, worse if subject is off focus #2. AF is very slow to impossible in tele end, unreliable in most situations, a nightmare for shooting moving object. AE is so unreliable that even the "stand still and say cheese" pictures came back over exposed or under exposed by a big proportion, not to mention blurry (IS only has very limited effect often times) #3. The red eye problem is terrible with this camera. It happens to MOST of the pictures my wife took on her graduation ceremony yesterday - everybody looked like vampire! #4. This is totally unacceptable as a production camera. I've known no other camera behave like this. Makes you wonder why Kodak is still cutting jobs today. Hello? better product design and execution please? These problems, except #4, were also present with Easyshare V603, a even cuter camera. Bottom line:Looking cute, using a Germanic named lens, and cheaper price only helps you by so much. In the end, if the camera doesn't work well, all is lost. No more Kodak for me

Small enhancement is required for displaying time with date on the photos.Rest of the functionality are really good.Easy to transfer the photos, software provided is useful.Overall kodak z612 is the best quality camera & more functions with low price.

    Overall Rating: 5 Star Review

    Duration of ownership:2 Days

Strengths: This camera has a great range of features that are easy to use with Kodak's intuitive design. The auto settings produce great photos in many different environments. The 12x optical zoom is sharp!

Weaknesses: It would be nice if the LCD screen flipped out and rotated -- useful when you need to hold the camera above your head or at an odd angle to get a shot -- but that's not really missed.

Overall Evaluation: After using the Kodak EasyShare DX7630 for a couple years with much success, I decided to purchase the EasyShare Z612 for my mom. I reviewed Canon and Olympus models, but decided to stick with Kodak because I've had great results with my earlier model and was pleased to see that Kodak retained the same basic design in their new upgraded EasyShare models. I'm a novice photographer, but still obtain consistently great photos with this camera, most of the time using it's auto settings. With plenty of advanced features, too, this camera offers almost everything one could want!

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: 12X Zoom, lg LCD screen, great features

    Weaknesses: Len's cap, focus delay.

Overall Evaluation: This my third digital camera and my second Kodak. I loved my C7430 but needed a better zoom and a camera that did better in low light. This is definitely not just a point and shoot camera. It has many features to play with. I took shots of one subject using every setting just to see what they all do. I tried taking pictures from a moving car using the zoom and found it has a very lazy focus. It takes awhile to focus in on a subject. Not too much of a problem when not using the zoom, but, still does not focus as fast as my little 7430. I do like this camera overall. It is excellent in low light. I love the one touch video. You do not have to keep your finger on the button to take video and the videos come out beautiful. The battery life is excellent if you do not use the LCD screen. I recommend buying a second battery in order to keep your settings when you change batteries. The lens cap was a problem in the beginning as I would lay it down and forget where I left it so I found a cord from another camera and attached it with that. Problem solved. I travel a lot and needed a good camera that was not bulky and was easy to use. I found it in the Z612.

Weaknesses: lense cover, small sd card, can't use AA bateries

Strengths: This digital camera takes great pictures.

    Weaknesses: Haven't found any yet!

Overall Evaluation: This digital camera takes great pictures, friends can't believe how clear they are. The software was easy to load and downloading the photos into albums is a breeze. My son questioned me as to why I was purchasing a Kodak camera and not a Cannon or other brand and has since agreed it takes great pictures.Excellent buy!

    Overall Rating: 2 Star Review

    Duration of ownership:14 Days

Strengths: Nice feel, ease of use, Easyshare software, some onboard memory, uses SD Card

Weaknesses: when I remove the battery to use the included wall charger, the camera looses date, time and any custom settings EVERY time I recharge the battery. External power and data transfer issues.

Overall Evaluation: This is my third digital camera. I've received many Easyshare emails. Those are from Kodak users who want to share their photos with me. Anyway, the photo sharing software is quite nice While shopping on-line, I was impressed with the camera's features and reasonable price. What was never mentioned in the reviews or Kodak's official data was that when you remove the lithium battery from the camera to recharge it using the included AC wall charger, all of the camera's stored settings data is lost. The camera has 32MB of internal memory, why can't the date and time be stored using a portion of that non-volatile memory? What a bother to have to reset the date and time every time that I recharge the battery. The first time that I recharged the battery I didn't realize this and the date imprints were eight months off since the camera resets to January 1st. Kodak tech support said that I ought to buy the optional dock for $49.95 (they corrected me when I said $50.) to avoid the problem. Since there is such a basic problem Kodak ought to have included the dock with the camera. Like they did with my Fijifilm cameras. Another option is to buy the external AC power adapter that plugs directly into the camera. But wait, Kodak told me that the external power cable will power the camera to "save battery power" however, while plugged into the camera it will not charge the camera's battery. That really shocked me, too. Had I known that it was necessary to spend an additional $50. from the start for the dock I would have bought another brand. Twice, I talked to Kodak tech support and they could only sympathize with me. Too bad they couldn't (or refused to) address the problem!
