    Overall Rating: 5 Star Review

    Duration of ownership:30 Days

Strengths: Interface ease of operation, capacity to hold many songs, availabiity of accessories, great looks factor, convenient size, cheap song downloads.

Weaknesses: Inability to change battery; price of unit, and price of the accessories (some are necessary to have an acceptable level of usefulness)

Overall Evaluation: I tried many different brands of mp3 players that my friends own before buying, read all the reviews I could find, and came to the conclusion that iPod still rules! I'm glad I made this choice; you can't go wrong with the iPod mini!

    Overall Rating: 4 Star Review

    Duration of ownership:3 Weeks

Strengths: Sleek design, intuitive interface, small.

Weaknesses: Expensive. Need to install software. Can't reliably access controls without taking it out and looking at the thing. No dedicated volume buttons.

Overall Evaluation: I used to laugh when everyone would say the iPod's design was so great, but I have to admit, when you hold it, it just feels sleek and solid. There are no rough edges, or shoddy joints; it's obviously very well constructed. (And metal for most of the case.) Even the adapter is well designed, and compact. My main beef with the ipods (other than $$$) is that when it's in your pocket you can't reliably "feel" around to adjust settings, or skip songs. I also own a Creative Jukebox, and even though it's bulkier, it's quite easy to pause songs, skip songs, change volume, or even navigate the menu all while it sits in my pocket.

    Duration of ownership:90 Days

Strengths: The Gold color glistens like fine jewlery. Very hip! As the other minis this one has plenty of room for music.

    Weaknesses: None

Overall Evaluation: The minis are great. They can store about 1000 songs. You can take them anywhere and they are very reliable. I would say overall an A+!

    Overall Rating: 4 Star Review

    Duration of ownership:4 Days

Strengths: Great looking, small and in fashion

Weaknesses: Rechargable battery needs to be replaced by Mfg.

Overall Evaluation: The iPod mini has become a teenager-status symbol in my area. The mini is small, sleek and is available in several colors. The fact that the mini stores thousands of songs is mind-boggling.

    Overall Rating: 4 Star Review

    Duration of ownership:3 Days

Strengths: It's everything I liked about my old iPod only so tiny, it's amazing!

Weaknesses: Apple still hasn't made it possible to change the battery when it gets old -- have to send it to Apple and get ripped off for $99

Overall Evaluation: I find it annoying that the new iPods only work with system X on Macintosh -- it wouldn't have killed them to make it work with 9.2 as well. It remains to be seen if this new battery holds up better than my old iPod. I think Apple deserves a big slap on the wrist for ripping off consumers by not allowing reasonably-priced battery replacement.

    Overall Rating: 5 Star Review

    Duration of ownership:3 Weeks

    Strengths: Small, Chic, & Powerful - even better than it's bigger brothers (40GB, 20GB, & 15GB)

Weaknesses: Sold Out or Not Available - it's so popular, good luck finding one!

Overall Evaluation: iPod Mini, Good Things Come in Small Packages! If the iPod's whopping 5.6 ounces is giving you a bad case of carpal tunnel, then the iPod mini is for you. Weighing in at a mere 3.6 ounces, small gets smaller with Apple's new mini version of its digital music player. Like the original, the slimmed down iPod mini has a customizable menu and backlit screen, but the navagational touch buttons and touch wheel are combined into an easy-to-use ClickWheel. You can store and listen to all one thousand of your favorite tunes for up to 8 hours on a single battery charge. But wait --- there's more! The iPod mini also features games and a calendar, and comes in five new tasty colors: Blue, Silver , Gold, Pink , and Green . Look it up at www.apple.com
