    Duration of ownership:1 Years

Strengths: Battery Life, Screen Size, Price, Endurance, Fanciness.

Weaknesses: Isn't compatable with same type of file iPod's use. (.mp4)

Overall Evaluation: I've had it for a year so far, and it still works perfectly, even after the times I've dropped it. It still works fine if I have the system full, and the battery is quite low. Its great, and has worked for me perfectly, all I have to do is Sync music from my Windows Media Player to it, and Voila!

    Duration of ownership:2 Months

Strengths: Nice display, FM tuner is a bonus, decent battery life, I like the size - it may be thicker than a Nano, but it feels more solid and less likely to crack/break if it should fall, be sat/stepped on. Nice appearance, easily cleaned.

Weaknesses: Have had some compatability issues from day one. Rhapsody program is crap. Support is less than helpful.

Overall Evaluation: I think I need "MP3 Players for Dummies", because I have some major play-back issues with this thing. Music will show on the Rhapsody program that won't show on the player, and vice-versa. Music that I rip from my CDs and transfer to the player will not play until I renew my subscription status. 3 exchanges and days of working with tech support haven't helped at all. When it does play, it has good sound and a good look. The buttons, as many others state, are quite small for someone like myself with big hands, but as also stated most mp3 players have that issue. If I could get this thing to show and play what I want it to I would be a truly devoted fan.

    Strengths: looks deceivingly good.

Weaknesses: It didn't work and the support team is totally unresponsive.

Overall Evaluation: The unit doesn't work. Communications to the support team of both SanDisk and Consumer Depot are unresponsive. Might as well donate your money to the charity. I will never buy this crap again.

Strengths: Size and Fingerprint, Great Software and Overall Ergonomics, Brite Screen, Battery Life and Replacability, Style and Design

Weaknesses: Not One Single Flaw or Detractions. Am very impressed with the product

Overall Evaluation: My main machine is a wonderful, amazing 60G Creative Zen Viusion M. It holds over 600CDs woth of music and over 100 full-length movies. I joined a gym and am going to begin rollerblading at 60 and wanted to try a flash-based smaller machine with a WMP11 format and try subscription services to explore my various musical tastses. I tried to new Sansa Connect with WiFi and really liked it, but it didn't have as many useful features as I thought, and the WiFi access was really severely limited. Also, After 4 days, the flywheel froze severely. So I returned it to Circuit City, where nobody really knew how to even begin to try to sell it to me...they're are SO INTo IPODs!!!I got the Rhapsody version from Best Buy, the 2 G model, on sale for $99. I've had it 2 weeks and have fallen in love with the thing. The FM is really great, clean and crisp...I love being able to record FM. While it has many of the same feature of my Zen, I love the size. I got a silicone sleeve, will also get the DLO neoprene armband case. This is simply an extremely intelligent product in a nice compact package. What I am really enjoying is downloading all kinds of music from Rhapsody to both my Scandisk portable and my Zen, such as all 250 Bach Cantatas. I'm using the Scandisk to explore new music on a daily basisand the Zen to be more a library. It's great fun. With the Sansa Connecdt, I got to try Yahoo Music Unlimited for a month, but I think Rhapsody is the finest music subscription service outthere/Can't tolerate Itunes and the whole IPOD shebang and the arogance of the whole Apple arena. While I admire the design sense, I hate the product and the arrogance. There is so much out there that is better. This Scandisk is one of them. I'm really enjoying the purchase immensely.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Raised wheel, size, color screen, broader formats, no proprietary sync, easy video and picture conversion and formatting, sd micro card, durable construction, flash drive vs. hard drive, price

    Weaknesses: none so far

Overall Evaluation: My kids all have ipods, and honestly I would have bought one, but the size, price, and the fact it wasn't an Apple product got me interested. My overall storage needs are not as great as some, and I listen to things and then delete and add, so storage size is not a huge concern. And with a 2gig SD micro card, I have more than I will ever need. I like the raised wheel because I can easily and accurately raise or lower the volume in in my pocket for example, mainly because it is more tactile and accurate in nature. The size more easily fits in pockets and easier for exercise and jogging. And I just like the design over the ipod. And as with anything new or different, at first it seems awkward, but when learned poses no really deficiencies over other devices. These companies need to break Apple's stranglehold and price fixing in this market. I'm surprised they get away with how they have totally denied the free market pricing on their products. There was a huge lawsuit that Canon lost years ago, doing about the same thing. And over the years I have realized that Apple is every bit as invasive to your computer as Microsoft or any other. Time will tell as far as durability and failure, but so far so good

    Duration of ownership:60 Days

    Strengths: Small Size

Weaknesses: Poor controls and Faulty Operation

Overall Evaluation: I have had this product for almost 60 days. It has been broken for 75% of the time. The player controls are too small and are very cheap. The scroll wheel is like something you would find on a toy. Not an expensive electronic device. The player has locked up on me several times, requiring me to run the battery down and then re-charge the player. Now, it is saying that I do not have any songs on it, although the Rhapsody service (which this player is supposed to be linked to) tells me there are over 200 songs. I deleted the songs and have attempted to re-load them. Now, the songs will not load. Don't bother using the Sansa FAQ site. It is not helpful unless you did not receive your rebate.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Great Looks, Trusted Brand, Price, easy to learn UI, Easy Controls

Weaknesses: Hate the software, Wish to customize UI colors, menu layout, etc.

Overall Evaluation: This is my first iPod thingy. I know, it's not an ip. I have to train myself to say "I got a Sansa" or "I finally got an MP3 player". So far I love it. The Sansa looks great, I trust SanDisk (have owned many of their memory card products), it's at a great price, the UI is easy to get used to, the controls are easy to get used too as well. However, I'm a hardcore Linux user (Ubuntu 6.10). I don't have a copy of Microsoft Windows and don't plan running it or WINE to get the software. I HATE the fact that I can't easily transfer/play video or picture slideshows on the Sansa simply by transferring them over. The Sansa works great in Linux as a USB device. It transfers files over very fast and flawlessly. I just wish that I didn't have to be a Windows user to take advantage of it's video and picture slideshow abilities. I understand a lot of other Linux users are having a hard time figuring out exactly what command to use to convert vids to a format that will be accepted and played by the Sansa. Despite all this, I'm giving it 4 stars. Hopefully I can figure out how to video and pictures on my Sansa in Linux. Other than that, it's a great MP3 player. Certainly 5 stars if your a Windows user.

    Duration of ownership:

    Strengths: Nice video screen

Weaknesses: Poor quality, Horrendous customer support

Overall Evaluation: I purchased the e260 in November 2006 and 2 weeks later I noticed after a jog that the faceplate and LCD had cracked. A player of this cost should hold up better than that. There began my long odyssey trying to interact with Sandisk customer support. The support is definitely handled off shore. After many responses from "Billy Ray" , "Luther" and Shrevdyk, I came to the conclusion I was getting words...no understanding...no willingness to help. Just words. I essentially ended up with a $179 dollar paper weight. My advice is if you buy this, buy a protection plan and a make sure you don't have to deal with Sandisk or better yet...Stay Away!
