  Weaknesses: Everything. Does not work on my XP.

  Overall Evaluation: I can not use Disc Copier,not Copy Data Disc for the product cannot initialize API. Drag to Disc can not start for components needed to run are missing. Can not Copy to Disc or Files to Disc. Dragon Engine initialization failed, same as with Creator Classic. No Product Key therefore can not secure help from Roxio. Seller: Source-Mart (hghlndteam@yahoo.com) has not answered any E-mails sent to them. I have reinstalled three(3) times and Repair from Control Panel twice(2). Nothing works. It's a piece of junk, worthless.

  Overall Evaluation: This product is totally unsatisfactory.It will not do what the suppliers claim.It will not copy to a DVD.The amount of time and effort that I have put into trying to make this product work renders it the most useless piece of software I have ever used.It is the slowest downloader I have ever known.It ruins so many blank DVDs that it is very expensive and at the end of it you have no DVD to play either on the computer or on any other player to which I have access.Don't waste your money on this junk

  Overall Evaluation: I bought this at Costco for $60, after rebate. It took a bit of trial and error to capture the video, but I did it and it seemed easy and fun, at 1st. There is no manual so it's a bit frustrating to try to figure out how to do something. I edited and burned a whole video. What a great feeling. Then, I noticed that the audio is out of synch by 2-3 seconds once it's edited. Roxio's help line is of no help and you have to pay for live phone support. I tried everything, but nothing worked. It was like watching an old Godzilla movie. I ended up returning the software to Costco.

  Strengths: The interface made it easy to learn how to use, plus the excellent support materials helped me when I had questions. Very responsive email tech support.

  Weaknesses: For the latest fixes and best performance you'll need to download the 7.0.1 update, which is about 52MB. No big deal on broadband, but if using a dialup, you may need to do this overnight.

  Overall Evaluation: I am a thorough shopper and hate to pay more than I have to, or buy a product that does not deliver on its claim. Before I buy technology products, I read all the reviews, both the professional editorial reviews, and those from us folks who work for a living. I also asked friends and family what program they preferred. When I tallied up all the reviews and personal recommendations it came out to about 8 out of 10 rating/recommendation for Easy Media Creator 7. So I bought the software and after using it for the last 4+ months I can confidently tell the world it is an outstanding program. A couple of times when I did get stumped, their tech support responded back to me with answers both times within 24 hours! Conclusion: For the price, I've been very impressed with what the software and support delivers. If you want a program for burning CDs/DVDs, capturing and editing photos and videos, and creating slide shows and mastering DVDs, you can't go wrong with this.

  Strengths: Very versatile software used by the entire family.

  Weaknesses: Even though it comes with lots of templates, I wish it had even more.

  Overall Evaluation: We have been using Roxio Easy Media Creator 7 since April. My daughter (14) taught herself how to use it over a weekend, and for a class project back in May, she created a slideshow and mastered it to DVD. My son (12) also taught himself how to use it, and uses it all the time. He recently finished touching up all his photos from summer camp and created a slideshow with his friends with their own commentary audio tracks. I have used Creator 7 for everything from regular scheduled backups to editing my digital photos, to building DVDs. It runs perfect on our HP Pavilion computer with 512 memory, 40GB HD and XP. We have had a great experience using it and tell all our friends to use it as well.

  Weaknesses: Would like to see overall speed improvements when switching between components/modules.

  Overall Evaluation: Not only is Easy Media Creator 7 easy to use with all the features you need, it is rock solid. It does what it claims it will do, it is a very stable and mature product that doesn't crash, and it comes with excellent support. A co-worker of mine uses a competitive product and he cries the blues about how often it crashes and locks up his system. He is so frustrated about paying to be a "beta tester". Thankfully that is not the case with Easy Media Creator 7, it performs great and best of all allows me to create some first-rate DVDs. I swear by this program.

  Strengths: does everything

  Weaknesses: I seriously can't stand that you have to have your video card in 1024x768 for the main program to run...I am not going to change my video settings for one silly program...my eyes are already bad!!!!!!

  Overall Evaluation: Roxio has really improved their software and everything has been included in the suite, but as I said I hate the fact that you have to change to 1024 by 768.It is very user friendly

  Strengths: The interface makes it easy to use and explore the breadth of features. Good documentation and video tutorial how-to-videos.

  Weaknesses: Sometimes it seems sluggish switching between components.

  Overall Evaluation: Easy Media Creator 7 works with all forms of digital media -- data, music, photos, and video. I was amazed at how quickly I was able to capture my digital camera photos, and digital video footage, and then edit and create finished slideshows and videos. It was then easy to create some great looking DVDs. It runs just fine on my 2 year old PC running XP. If you don't already own it, go buy it, you'll be glad you did.

  Strengths: Easy Media Creator 7 integrates several full-featured applications together to create a software suite with a consistent user experience.

  Weaknesses: Although the PDF versions of the user guides are good, I'm still a paper person and would have liked to have the printed versions included in the box.

  Overall Evaluation: In no time, I was using it and creating projects with it. I use Creator Classic all the time to burn data and music to CD and DVD and appreciate the automated backup feature. Even though I use those features all the time, I really bought Media Creator 7 for all the great digital media creation tools. Photosuite is a wonderful photo-editing product. Since I am a casual point and shoot digital photographer, I use the autofix option all the time to clean up my pictures, plus of course the red eye removal tool and the clone tool (to remove the date/time stamp I forgot to turn off in some of my pictures). I use VideoWave to transfer/capture my video to my PC, and then edit it down to remove unwanted video clips. I also use it to add text using different fonts, styles and effects, plus add transitions between clips, and background sound tracks. When complete, I then send the output to DVDBuilder for authoring to DVD. I could go on and on how I use it, but the bottom line, this product is outstanding. It is loaded with excellent features and is a must have product for transforming your digital content to marvelous DVD movies or slide shows.

  Overall Evaluation: Roxio's Easy Media Creator 7 was easy to learn thanks to the single view "Home Page" interface that gives you simultaneous access to all program components. This product has pretty much all the features you'll need for working with your digital media files. What has also been impressive about Easy Media Creator 7, is the great support materials and customer tech support. It comes with lots of materials to assist you in finding the answers to your questions. From the Help Center you can easily search the files for what you are looking for, or you can choose to go directly to the user guides and how to video tutorials. Roxio also provides many customer support materials on their web site, such as the knowledgebase where you can search on keywords and phrases and then it gives you some choices. Each of these choices then explains what to do. Their customer support email response time is very respectable, getting answers back to you in usually a day. Once, I called to talk to a live tech support person, and was fully prepared to pay the $30 per call. Not only did they help me resolve my issue, but they also waived the $30 fee. Talk about great service and support!
