    Overall Rating: 5 Star Review

    Duration of ownership:1 Years

Strengths: Both digital, and analog modes, uses standard 9V batteries. Digital mode is very useful for finding one wire among thousands

Weaknesses: Always forget to turn off the unit

Overall Evaluation: We do a fair amount of network infrastructure in very old buildings where things don't always make sense. This tool really helps us trace wires over fairly long distances in electrically noisy environments. I have an analog unit, however it hardly ever gets used any more. It also has a cable mapping function, that surprisingly we use quite often. I would recommend this unit.

    Overall Rating: 5 Star Review

    Duration of ownership:2 Days

Strengths: Toning on live networks, probe options, telephone line checking, cable mapping, great cable locating options

Weaknesses: No cable length measurement or detection of network speed

Overall Evaluation: This is an excellent product that offers features like no other I've seen. The quality is first rate as far as I can tell, but having been in the facility that makes these and seen the testing, I very am excited to use the product. I would not expect the two items in the weakness section to be available at this price point. I did buy the case Fluke Networks makes for this and like it too.

    Duration of ownership:3 Months

Strengths: Find a single cable in a bundle, stepped audible wire test, combines probe with cable tester

    Weaknesses: price

Overall Evaluation: This tool has been indispensible in our organization. I routinely have to trace cat5 cables from jack back to a wire bundle at the patch panel. Before I got this tool, I had to carry a probe set and a wire tester. My only complaint is it was a little pricy.

    Overall Rating: 2 Star Review

    Duration of ownership:10 Days

Strengths: It works a bit better than SOME other analogue toners, etc. It has good battery life protection via automatic shut down.

Weaknesses: Seems much like and old toy I would have played with as a kid with repect to its presentation and the construction.

Overall Evaluation: I may not have spent as much on this set had I been able to try it first. I have seen many technicians do well with much less expensive toners and probes. Great marketing job on FLUKE'S part.
