Overall Rating: 4 Star Review
Duration of ownership:2 Months
Strengths: Compared to my old 650 (Verizon): Better signal reception and Bluetooth works more reliably.
Weaknesses: NO WiFi (no current work around yet as of Jan 2007). Occassional, ramdom resets; fortunately it is infrequent, so I can live w/ it. Verizon data plan is EXPENSIVE. No stereo headphone jack for MP3s.
Overall Evaluation: I have upgraded to a Treo 700P (Verizon) from a Treo 650. Straight out of the box, I noticed right away that the signal reception is better than my old Treo 650. I can now talk while in my apartment's parking garage w/o the call dropping; my old 650 would always have no signal. The Bluetooth connection is more reliable on the 700P as well.I do not use the phone for wireless email or Internet, because Verizon's data plan is EXPENSIVE. But, I did play with the Internet function on the store display model, and it is surprisingly fast. My old Treo 650 was painfully SLOW.I just use my phone for the PDA functions (phone book, calendar, tasks, memos), Pocket Quicken, and I'm happy with it.Sadly, NO stereo headphone jack. You still have to use the bulky external stereo adapter.A flash for the camera would be a nice touch. But I can live w/o it. Besides, it would never match the queality of a true digital camera.
