    Strengths: oc, durability,

Weaknesses: back plate, but i still have an asus cpu cooler on i just had to bend the corners of the mounting bracket

Overall Evaluation: I am overclocking a core 2 duo e6600 2.4 at 3.78MHz and never reaching 50*celcius after adding thermaltake fans and slot coolers according to cpuz my FSB is 1680MHz Bus Speed is 420MHz with 4gb of ram the dual bios on this board is a life saver and extremely easy for over clockers i have been oc for over a year with absolutely no hardware failure at all without liquid cooling save your money and just buy some good case fans and a cpu cooler and let the board do the rest

    Duration of ownership:2 Months

Strengths: overclocking, heatpipes, solid state capacitors, sata2 connectors

Weaknesses: metal cpu backplate prevents use of advanced coolers

Overall Evaluation: High FSB over 400MHz is attainable with this board. It supports quad core and matrix raid. It has four esata2 ports for total of 8 sata connectors. This board is packed full of features and is one of the top p965 boards. The only negative is the cooling backplate if you want to install one of the more advanced air coolers. Supports 1333/1066/800/533 MHz FSB with new BIOS.

Strengths: unbelievably fast, super overclockable, really quiet, and for under $200 compared to even low end boards this thing is a bargain!

Weaknesses: Only one PCI-E-16 slot, and then another that is PCI-E-4x....other than that I have absolutely no complaints!

Overall Evaluation: If I had to build another system, I would use this motherboard for sure, esp considering it can take up to 8gb of ram....I have loaded it with 4gb, and vista ultimate loves this system!go get one for yourself!!

    Strengths: None

Weaknesses: Does not work and Gigabyte Technologies does not provide customers support.

Overall Evaluation: I assembled a computer using this motherboard and an Intel Core2 Duo_E6600 processor, which according to their specifications, is compatible with the motherboard. Upon completion of the machine I turned it on, the lights on the front of the case went on, the fans on the top of the CPU and on the back of the case went on, but nothing else happened. There were no beeps, there was no signal going to the monitor, there was nothing. I called Gigabyte several times at my expense since they do not disclose their 800 number if they have one, only to listen to dumb options, be transferred several times, and at the end to be told that the person I was calling was away from her desk, and to leave a message and a return call would made. The return call never came. This is a piece of junk that not even the sanitation people want to pick it up when I threw in the garbage.

    Duration of ownership:2 Weeks

Strengths: Quiet, Great Overclockability, lots of features

Weaknesses: No SLI support, Expensive, some very minor problems with layout

Overall Evaluation: The Gigabyte GA-965-DQ6 is a great board for the enthusiasts. It has lots of features and great overclockability. The passive heatsinks keeps the the board cool with out noisy fans. The only problem I have is the memory slots are a little close to my PCI Express video card which makes removing or installing ram difficult.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Quiet, solid state design, for the best longevity when it comes to motherboards.clean design, everything was easy to get to, and the support has been awesome!

Weaknesses: none that I can tell, other than being a bit pricey!

Overall Evaluation: I think that this is the best motherboard I have ever bought, and just last week, it was the first, and only motherboard certified for use with the upcoming Microsoft Operating System, Vista!i have personally tested it with Vista, and it works better than with Windows XP-and it even sleeps properly! I would suggest going with this motherboard over many, esp considering its extreme overclocking potential

    Duration of ownership:1 Weeks

Strengths: No fans on this one, raid 10 works well, lots of features. nice layout.

Weaknesses: No SLI, but I don't want SLI so no big deal for me. A little pricey. Documentation could be better.

Overall Evaluation: This board has a ton of features - 4 e-sata ports, 6 internal sata's. 10 usb 2.0 ports, and on and on... easy install and good fan control and windows overclocking tool. Updating bios is a piece of cake through windows - scared me because it was too simple! This board is made to last and is good looking. I put in 4 250gb drives configured in RAID 10 and the performance is impressive but you end up with 500gb total useable.

    Duration of ownership:3 Days

Strengths: Incredible stability, connectivity, user-friendly, heatpipes galore!

Weaknesses: Lacks dual video card support. Pricey. IDE connectivity is limited.

Overall Evaluation: I received this motherboard as a gift and it's absolutely blown my mind away. This motherboard is an absolute dream to work with and in my mind is one of the best boards for a Conroe out there. It's got heatpipes all over the board to help keep things cool silently, including a copper "crazy cool" plate on the back which further helps to silently dissipate heat. It's got twelve phase power delivery, all the SATA connectors you could ever need, and it's stable to top it all off. It's basically ready for anything now and anything that you'll throw at it for years to come. The included software package doesn't slouch, either; you get the full version of Norton Internet Security AND Kaspersky AV, among other things. Why you get both of them is a mystery to me, but it's always handy to have good options I guess. To sum it all up, if you've got the cash to purchase this board then I suggest you go for it. It's got plenty of room for future improvements, tons of power for the present, and a great software package to boot. Good job, Gigabyte!
