Duration of ownership:2 Months
Strengths: Individual ink cartridges , High quality photo printing
Weaknesses: Expensive Cartridges
Overall Evaluation: I've had quite a few color printers over the years. This is my first Canon Pixma and I admit the color is really accurate. For the first time I don't have to deal with too much ink on the page or colors that don't appear as they do on my monitor or in real life. The printer hibernates all by itself which I like, so if I'm not using it for a week or so, I don't have to remember to shut it off as I do with the other printers. I've had great luck with it. The only downside so far for me is the cost of replacement ink cartridges. I bought one full set of Canon cartridges for this printer at Best Buy and paid almost half of the original cost of the printer. Canon has made it much more difficult (although not impossible) to use compatible cartridges by including a proprietary IC in each cartridge.

Strengths: Fast, quiet, high quality photo prints.
Weaknesses: 6 ink cartridges (can get expensive), though could be worse.
Overall Evaluation: This is my second canon printer. I upgraded from the i560 and what an upgrade it has been. I thought my old printer produced good pictures. This printer produces great pictures. The color and quality of the prints are fantastic. The LCD monitor is nice, but I print out everything from my computer post editing. Great printer. Would highly recommend

Strengths: User friendly menu, True and vivid colors, Dual feed trays for different size prints, Pop-up display screen
Weaknesses: None
Overall Evaluation: Maybe I am partial to Canon products, but this printer is awesome when using high quality Canon paper. You can't go wrong for a printer in the $100-$150 range (when I purchased mine). I also recommend at least a 6+ MP camera to fully take advantage of this printer's capabilities.

Strengths: Print Quality
Weaknesses: Expensive Cartridges, Slow
Overall Evaluation: I purchased this product from Staples as it was cheaper at the time. I am in love with this printer. It creates high quality photo's quickly. It has several great features included and does come with handy software for making adjustments either on your PC or on the printer itself. One thing I must say however, is that the type of photo paper you are using makes a HUGE difference. Epson Premium Glossy is by far the best when used with this. It is, in all honestly, difficult to tell the difference between a digitally printed photo and a traditional film photograph. The printer itself is not very cost effective for those with a budget in mind. The only thing that is missing from the package is the much needed USB female/female cord to attach it to the pc for a direct pc print. The unit has a very clean viewing screen. On board controls are very user friendly and even has some extra nifty printing features such as sepia toning. I really recommend this printer for those wanting an outstanding photo at an even better price!

Strengths: Multiple, individual color cartridges, photo print quality
Weaknesses: Initial price, cost of replacement catridges, desk space
Overall Evaluation: After trying out several different printers (we still have 3 of them) this is by far our favorite for photo printing. We were doing the costco online orders and picking up in the store (still do for the 8x10's) but this is so much more convenient and the quality is at least as good (we calculated the overall cost of paper and ink, and it works out to a bit cheaper as well). No complaints for quaility or functionality, just cost and size. We never use the different memory stick plug-ins, just print from the computer.

Strengths: 6 color printer with individual ink cartridgesexcellent photo qualitycrisp text on plain paper
Weaknesses: Nothing other than the generic complaint about inkjet cartridge costs.
Overall Evaluation: This has been a great printer. It produces excellent photos and crisp text. The speed is acceptable. The only problem was the first 3 pages of plain paper text had small short streaks at the top, but they have not recurred since.

Overall Evaluation: This printer is one of the best photo printers I have ever purchased!! It prints fast and images are crisp and sharp! It also comes with a built-in LCD so you know what you print before you print it. No need for a PC, it even comes with internal memory that can do some simple print jobs. NICE!

Strengths: Does everything you need in high quality. Excellent pictures and text, features galore. Has everything, does everything and as cheaply as it gets.
Weaknesses: No ice maker or water in the door.
Overall Evaluation: I went to Micro Center to check out the HP7360 or 8250 and the sales person had me look at the ip6700d. After a print demonstration and showing of all the nice features that you only get with Canon, I was hooked and thankful that I ran into the the right sales person. It is hard to change my mind after I have made it up but I am glad I did because this machine is Amazing.

Strengths: Easy installlatiion, Low noise, Very high quality photo printing
Weaknesses: Can have temporamental ink tanks
Overall Evaluation: I'm very pleased with this printer. The only problem I had initially was that I kept getting error messages regarding the ink tanks and this constantly interrupted my printing process. However, after talking to Canon Support, they determined a defective ink tank (which can in turn affect the other ink tanks) and I was sent a replacement Y ink tank in about 3 days. I haven't had any problems since and I appreciate Canon technical support being so helpful. The printing quality is outstanding. I use it to print all my digital photos for scrapbooking.
