Strengths: Arguably the processor with the best price to performance ratio on the market, especially when you factor in overclocking. I'm running mine at 3.0 Ghz, but could probably get it up near 4.0 Ghz :)
Weaknesses: CPU fans are still a pain to install :-/ Can't manufacturers develop a hassle-free socket? (Note that I'm using an aftermarket cooler, not the one that comes with the E6600)
Overall Evaluation: One of the best, most-overclockable processors ever made, at a very reasonable price :) Why buy an expensive Core 2 Extreme when you can just get an E6600 and overclock it to 3.0 Ghz and beyond? :P

Strengths: Incredible speed, amazing multi-tasking, makes Vista fly, great gaming processor, apparently very over-clocking friendly
Weaknesses: If only we could all afford Core 2 Extremes...
Overall Evaluation: Out of the box this processor is, in one word, flawless. Intel is the crowned champion of processor engineering. After moving from an Athlon64 3000+ with 2GB of PC3200 DDR RAM to this processor with 2GB of PC6400 DDR2 RAM, I'm completely spoiled. Imagine with me, running 2 different programs converting WMA and M4A files into MP3s at the same time with very little performance drop, while ripping CD's to MP3s in another program and torrenting the crap outta some more MP3's. Having the RAM helps, but the Core 2 Duo has yet to have a single hiccup. I sincerely recommend the E6600 for any kind of computing you need to do, considering it is the best Speed vs. Budget solution out there.

Strengths: 4MB cache and lightening-fast dual core processor
Weaknesses: None
Overall Evaluation: This is a very fast processor. It compliments the new ASUS P5B Wi-Fi Deluxe motherboard that I bought for it. No installation problems. I am very happy with it.

Strengths: Most overclockable and stable proc I've ever owned. 3.6ghz w/out a single prob. I could prolly go higher. Idle @ 45
Weaknesses: None so far. See below
Overall Evaluation: Some say "socket 775 mobos are buggy". I'm using an eVGA NForce 680 SLI and have experienced nothing but ease and stability. Strengths: Excellent to Overclock
Weaknesses: None
Overall Evaluation: This is a beast of infinite propotions. I am at present running it at 1386 FSB and getting it up to 3.117 Mhz. Look as if it would reach 3.4 easy. It is consistent and very stable at this range. I am running it on a Asus P5WS workstation, and a pair of Corsair twin 256 (1GB0) 5400UL Memory. Unbelievable.

Strengths: amazing cpu, can be oc to 3+ghz on air
Weaknesses: pricy
Overall Evaluation: very fast CPU, it runs at 3.65Ghz very stable and cool. I never trust the stock Intel heatsink, so I installed an Arctic Freezer Pro 7, and I highly recommend the MX-1 thermal paste. With this heatsink, you can easily oc this baby to 3+Ghz. Strengths: 1) Solid Overclocking 2) 1066 FSB support 3) Excellent value for Price to Performance
Weaknesses: 1) L2 Cache is divided equally between cores
Overall Evaluation: This is one excellent CPU. Intel has really pulled out of the gate with this one against AMD. The Core 2 Duo running on my P5W DH Deluxe board is a dream. It's so fast as doing everything and I mean everything. From ripping DVD's and surfing the web at the same time, or even playing a game while ripping a DVD.Solid overclocking all around. While I've heard of numbers going as high as 3.3 Ghz. I never pushed mine above 2.8 with water cooling. I'd rather not take that chance. But it runs rock solid stable with the OCZ 2048-800 ram.I have recommended this CPU for everyone. In fact, I have now built 3 of my own home computers on this CPU. You can't beat the price for what they give you in performance. Plus the 4MB L2 cache is probably what gives it the real edge. However, I have heard that the newer Intel quad cores will be able to divdie up their L2 cache based on the core's need. So if you only need to run 1 core, it should allocate all it's L2 cache to that core. That's something that Intel should have implemented right away and would show better performance for games and applications designed to only run on single core.

Strengths: Fast and runs cooler than Pentium D's
Weaknesses: Price jump from E6400 is a little steep.
Overall Evaluation: Great cpu. Upgraded from a Pentium D 940 overclocked to 3.83Ghz. Out of the box and without additional cooling got it up to 3.0Ghz. With mathematical packages I run, I definetly can feel the difference. Hate Intel's pricing structure. Would of liked the speed of the E6400, but with the L2 cache of the E6600. So basically they force me to fork out an additional $95 for the E6600. But, I happy with this cpu.

Strengths: Faster than anything AMD, dual-core, 64-bit, SSSE3 capabilities, runs at 800mhz DDR2, awesome benchmarks
Weaknesses: A bit pricey (but it's worth it)
Overall Evaluation: I had this E6600 for about 2 months now, and all I can say is this thing is great! Farcry runs at max settings as smooth as butter. The dual-core capabilities are also very nice - especially with multi-threaded applications. Sadly there isn't too many games right now using multi-threading, but that's going to increase in the future for sure. This kicks AMDs FX-60 better than anything else and at a better price too. Way to go Intel - the Empire Strikes Back!
