  Overall Evaluation: I have read that it works great on Skype AND that it DOESN'T work on Skype. Mine doesn't work on Skype. I keep getting an incompatible message. Which is true and why

  Weaknesses: never been able to use this camera to its fullest

  Overall Evaluation: This cam is the worse I have ever owned! I have owned several good cams since the mid 90s but were not compatible with newer OSs as they came out. This cam has always had driver issues that conflict with Microsoft OS. Microsoft web cam that didn't work with their own OS. I always kept drivers up to date and with every new release the issue starts again. The only drivers that ever part-time worked were ver. 1.3 I have owned this cam several years now and finaly threw it away. PIECE OF CRAP!

  Weaknesses: mic buzzes and dont work with new messenger.

  Overall Evaluation: the webcam is really good, except dont buy if you updated msn messenger. the webcam wont work. you have to have the old version. also the mic makes this buzzing noise. you dont hear it but the other people do. or if you create a video you will here it.

  Strengths: vx-3000 works great with all of the instant messenger programs.

  Weaknesses: The windows live button only work with MSN windows live calling...I don't find it useful at all.

  Overall Evaluation: Great webcam. Don't bother with other brands especially phillips. This webcam simplified my instant messenger experience. It also replaced my headset because the camera has a mic on it also.

  Weaknesses: Call button only works with Microsoft software

  Overall Evaluation: I'm actually surprised by how impressed I was with this camera. From the box to using the camera was only a matter of minutes. It was easy to figure out how to use it with various software and the microphone works great. I've used mine in my office (a quiet room) and can walk 10-15 feet away and still be heard. The resolution is good and captures enough frames per minute that it's not terribly jerky like some older cameras. A great buy for the price, but definitely keep your eye out for rebates!!!

  Overall Evaluation: Be sure to adjust focus ring. Passable audio from the built-in microphone. However, the button on the top of the camera works only with Microsoft Life Messenger. Too bad it is useless using Skype or Google Talk.For the price paid ($6.59) plus coupons - my daughter loved it.Actually, 3.5 stars for this simple, easy and nice looking webcam.

  Overall Evaluation: We bought this to speak with family in Australia and have been very impressed. Works great with Windows Messenger and the quality of the voice and picture have been better than expected. Installation was a snap once we adjusted our firewall settings. No doubt this is an excellent value for the money.

  Weaknesses: Not that good without built-in mic.

  Overall Evaluation: Installation was easy and performance was good enough. Use this as an upgrade for our desktop's 3 year old webcam. Stills are satisfactory.Would be very good if it goes with a mic.Well, for the price paid after rebate, $15 - highly recommended.

  Overall Evaluation: I was looking for a nice webcamera to talk with my wife during business trips. This camera have good reviews and I bought it for $15 after rebates. I tried it and it works fine. The button on the top of the camera woks only with Microsoft Life Messenger, so it is useless if you are using Google Talk, Skype, or something else. I cannot say that the quality of the image is very good, but probably it is supposed to be like it is. I am completely satisfied with this camera and recommend it to the others.
