Duration of ownership:1 Years
Strengths: Very bright crisp display, flexible positioning system, plug and play. 3 year warranty.
Weaknesses: The software needs better documentation. The stand has deteriorated over the past year.
Overall Evaluation: I'm coming from a 21" trinitron crt, and the vertical viewing was a bit brighter - I guess I need to get used to the widescreen (update: after one year, I have come to love the widescreen). But the brightness and sharpness on this Samsung is truly amazing. I don't have any bad pixels so I can't relate to those who are expecting $700 performance from a monitor for less than half the price. The stand has slowly deteriorated over the year of ownership to the point where it needed replaced. Samsung was very good about quickly replacing the stand with a redesigned version. I liked this monitor so much I gave it to my son and purchased the 225BW to get a little more screen area. I am pleased with both monitors.

Duration of ownership:
Strengths: Excellent Price, DVI, Great stand, MagicBright, Thin, and 3 year warranty
Weaknesses: The viewing angle is terrible.
Overall Evaluation: I own 6 of these so here is my little review. All of them showed backlight bleed but not to excessive. There were initially no dead pixels but 3 of the panels developed a 'dead' pixel which turn to red when the screen is black. You can't really notice them unless you are two inches away from the screen but just makes you hope it stops at one. The stand is one of the best i've seen. The only thing negative is that the viewing angle of these monitors is terrible, I wouldn't get these for anything that requires accurate colors (graphic design/editing) but its fine for the average user.

Duration of ownership:2 Months
Strengths: Crisp clear picture, no dead pixels, great specs.
Weaknesses: It's hooked up to my wife's computer!Drop tested by shipper.
Overall Evaluation: Ordered this monitor for myself. Made the mistake of testing it out on my wife's computer. She saw the widescreen and the picture quality and immediately loved it. The monitor looked great hooked up right out of the box. The colors are vibrant and images crisp. The edge of the monitor had a minor ding from shipping. The retailer I ordered it from offered me a discount to keep it instead of returning it. Fortunately the monitor works great, no dead pixels. We're very happy with the purchase.

Duration of ownership:1 Weeks
Strengths: Clear picture, height adjustable stand, tilt, bright, price.
Weaknesses: Quality Control! Dead pixels.
Overall Evaluation: I purchased 6 of these monitors for ACAD Drafters and 5 out of the 6 had at least 1 dead pixel. All dead pixels were brigth green or red and it is bad for ACAD since your background is black. I don't think i am buying anymore of these. I need to find another brand with better QC. Especially since they come out of the box with this problem.
