Strengths: ok sound, ok image.
Weaknesses: broke very easily, sound did not work, display faded away after time.
Overall Evaluation: My overall review is there were many weaknesses and not very many strangths. I dont think many people would like the ipod nano and what the world is all this 2nd generation and 1st generation ipod nano just call it a darn ipod nano for god sake.

Duration of ownership:3 Weeks
Strengths: Nice Bright screen; excellent sound quality; beautiful attractive case; earphones jack is on the bottom; greatest life of iPod ive ever seen; fits perfect in my hand!
Weaknesses: 2GB only comes in silver, 8GB only comes in Black; Small Screen compared to iPod Video. USB only, no FireWire. Screen gets prints that just wont come off, case isnt really scratch resistant, as apple suggests.
Overall Evaluation: i Have the 8GB Nano, and its great! Overall, i think that its a great iPod that you take on the go. My set up is i keep my Video at home and bring my Nano everywhere. Apple Thinks that the aluminum case is scratch resistant, but it really isnt. It also gets dirty really easily. But it still is a great improvment over the 1st gen.

Strengths: Low price, decent sound quality
Weaknesses: Navagation is weak at best, tuner functions, voice recorder
Overall Evaluation: This unit offers an FM receiver and voice recorder which might as well have been deleted, may of the navigation capabilities are the worst ever experienced. If I had purchased this item thinking of it as a step down from the original nano then I would be extremely upset and disappointed all I can honestly say about this is "It's Junk"

Duration of ownership:
Strengths: Small size, user friendly, clear display, nice design
Weaknesses: Expensive, ear phones lack bass and durability
Overall Evaluation: The new Apple iPod Nano is outstanding. It is a major upgrade over the iPod mini and the 1st generation Nano. The size is about the same as the nano, but Apple has incorporated the metal and colored finish of the older iPod mini. The LCD screen clearly displays the menu and the click wheel is easy to control and navigate. I've notice some issues with syncing this iPod with the newest iTunes version, but that may be an issue with the iTunes software and not the Nano. Also, I purchased the 2GB because it was $50 cheaper than the 4GB version, but now that I'm using it, I wish I had spent the extra $50 to get the bigger hard drive. Regardless, this is a very nice MP3 player that is stylish and works very well.

Duration of ownership:2 Days
Strengths: - great sound quality- thin but durable- battery lasts twice as long as original Nano- supports photos
Weaknesses: - no built-in FM tuner or recording capability- 2G only comes in silver
Overall Evaluation: My 11-year old daughter loves her iPod. It's the first MP3 player she's had. She had no problem learning how to use it or how to use the iPod Clickwheel. The sound quality is excellent. She likes the shiny color, but wished it came in pink. It doesn't come with alot of extras, but does have what you need for basic use: dock adapter, a USB cable for charging, a pair of white earphones and a basic instruction manual. She wished you could listen to the radio on it, but you have to buy a separate accessory to do that. Overall though, we are very pleased with it and recommend it to anyone, especially first-time users.
