  Overall Evaluation: A pleasing upgrade after my G3 iPod was stolen, videos and pictures are great to have on hand in a small device.

  Strengths: This is the most inovative product to come out in the recent tech boom.

  Weaknesses: Can only load various media with itunes.

  Overall Evaluation: I am very impressed with the alien like technology that apple seems to continue to grace us with.This is not only extremely easy to use it has allowed me to leave my vulnerable cd collection at home. I would like to see a future version with a full sized touch screen like the iphone that is also blue tooth compatible.

  Strengths: Great amount of storage. The screen works very well and is nice and bright. I like the ease of navigation through all of the music. Great reliablility and sound quality.

  Weaknesses: As I have heard all iPods scratch rather easily. The scratches are pretty small so if you take care of it I don't think that they detract from the nice looks of the iPod.

  Overall Evaluation: I really enjoy using my iPod, I can just listen to it for hours on end. I listened to it for pretty much twelve hours non-stop and I still didn't even get half way through all of the songs I have on there. I bought an Alpine car stereo that connects to my iPod and it works great. I don't drive anywhere without my iPod. iTunes can take a little while to get used to, but it's some of the best software out there. I really like the Black look, it's very sleek. Overall, I am extremely happy with my purchase.

  Strengths: what this can hold is amazing, yeah in 5 years it maybe a dinosuar, I bought it for my daughter on long trips, its great!! better than a dvd player in the car or van.

  Weaknesses: i have never bought something and then have to download off the internet, Im aguy too. I never read instruction manuals. But this time I did.if you are a newbie to the ipod store, it takes time.

  Overall Evaluation: I just want to make it understood, I dont write reviews on things.. But this has really impressed me.. plug it into your computer right away, charge it up. and your off and running... Very KOOL!! Shipping was quick too and easy.

  Overall Evaluation: In order to be compatable with many other peoples ipod music playing devices, I have reluctantly joined the club. I was reluctant because I prefer the freedom of being able to download off any sight and not be limited to apple -- that is were podmax software comes in handy.

  Overall Evaluation: The Apple iPod 80GB Video is amazing. I've dreamed of having one since I've known about them and I was so glad on Christmas when I was thinking, I should go get an iPod. I got passed a gift and it was light I was like "cool" so i ripped it open and saw the Apple Packaging and am like, huh? Then I opened that and I saw the iPod box. I was amazed even by the box. I cannot believe how great my iPod works it's unbelievable! Thanks Apple! I suggest that everyone has one of these lol.

  Overall Evaluation: i recently pgraded my 60gb ipod to the 80gb and i like the new search feature.i am not using the extra brightness of the display though, which is the other improvement that apple advertises.being burned by the previous ipod right out of the box i applied the "invisible shield", which works ok, but i wish apple would spend the extra 85c and put a decent polycarbonate finish so that they stay nice and shiny forever. but then who would be willing to upgrade for such minor improvements that apple does these days.this being said i've owned several mac minis and ipods and yes apple does know how to design user interface. unfortunately this and how to make the most money out of it is about the only thing that apple does well.i wish the harddrive was faster - 4MBytes/s isn't exactly stellar performance - it doesn't matter if you just listen to music and increase your music collection at moderate rate, but i use the ipod also as an external storage device to cary around my data.and then i wish aple (and microsoft for that matter) stop comming up with pointless new proprietary formats and just use flac as the default format for unencrypted lossless audio. i don't care what they do for copy-protected formats.

  Strengths: Great product and hardware. I love the brighter screen. itunes 7 is great.

  Weaknesses: Attractive to fingerprints. Screen a bit small (though I can still watch everything fine).

  Overall Evaluation: Overall is a very great product. Getting music and movies is simple, and I'm very satisfied. I got a lot of songs and 2 movies and I still have an extremely large amount of room. Defiently worth the money.

  Overall Evaluation: Bought it, hooked it up to a Sony Vaio laptop, and tried to download a movie. A day and 8 hours work on it later, including an hour on the phone with technical assistance, it still doesn't work.Worst piece of computer-oriented equipment I have ever bought, and I have bought such things since 1978.Taking it back today, hopefully for a refund of my #350.

  Strengths: Easily syncs with iTunes, easy to use, lightweight, bright display, lots of extras built in.

  Weaknesses: Ultrasensitivity of click wheel.

  Overall Evaluation: I love this iPod. It's my first. There are issues with fingerprints and scratching, but I bought clear protector screens and that solved the problem. Friends at work actually asked if I polish my iPod everyday since there are never any smudges or fingerprints on it. I bought a carrying case, but I never use it. I've been using the case that's included with purchase to transport the iPod to my car and to work. The iPod spends it's time docked to a speaker system so I rarely use the ear buds. On the few occasions that I did use the ear buds, they were fine. Others have mentioned the inclusion of an A/V kit, and that would have been nice. As it is, I'm extremely happy with the product and my purchase. I haven't downloaded movies yet, so I can't address that function.
