    Strengths: great color and contrast.

Weaknesses: i don't know whether it's good for viewing at various angle,i just don't want to watch tv at one position. i can't put on the wall...

Overall Evaluation: i look forward to a lcd tv for long, but i didn't buy them, one reason's the price, the other's that i want to get better viewing effect which isn't restricted by angle just as crt tv,for now,i'm not sure whether they get the great tech to solve this problem, but i'll try ,or i just wait... and i want to connect computer with it by cable or device like this http://www.uxcell.com/card-tuner-receiver-c-1445_1379.html

Strengths: Incredible picture clarity at all angles, 60% the price of competing name brand machines! Most exciting tech purchase I have ever made.

Weaknesses: Too much latency when switching back and forth from analog and HD channels making channel surfiing cumbersome. Lack of a cable card slot - why is the industry resisting this? OPC feature (automatic light sensing and adjustments) sometimes darken the screen below desireable levels. On the other hand, the screen is actually way to bright in a dark room if OPC is turned off.

Overall Evaluation: My first experience with HD - I had balked at the Plasma and DLP screens in the past - saving my dollars and watching the prices fall. The wait has been well worth it - LCD is the HD answer for the next several years and Sharp brings it all together. With these new screens, Sharp will dominate the LCD market the way Sony did for big screen CRT's in the 90's. I cannot say enough good things about LCD displays - they will make plasma obsolete in the very near term. Sharp is poised to dominate the market.

Strengths: Great picture, color, especially with the Blue Ray. Game consoles are pretty awesome. HD broadcast come out crisp. Remote lights up. Easy set up, even for HDMI. 1080p what else can you say.

Weaknesses: Maybe one more HDMI inut. Banding had finally showed up.

Overall Evaluation: I have the 46 inch version and I had the same banding problem that seems to plague these units. I have the sony Blue Ray player as well as HD broadcast channels, and the banding is not as big a deal as it may appear. The settings were adjusted, so that took care of the banding issue. If you don't have a High Definition source like a upconverting DVD or Blue Ray, you are really not going to enjoy the unit and all that it has to offer.

Strengths: Great contrast. Great detail. Good blacks. Good color. Has the potential of being the best LCD on the market... if they fix the production-line problems w/ banding.

Weaknesses: The infamous 'banding'. A major visual flaw for any tv. Call it uneven backlighting, call it a flaw in the glass, it will ruin an incredible viewing experience.

Overall Evaluation: The 52D62U has the potential of being the best LCD on the market... if they fix the production-line problems w/ banding. No answers from Sharp on what causes it, but it's evident on the 62U and 92U series. Sharp as a company is responsive to user problems; however, their help desk setup is one of the worst I've ever seen. You will get used to 'joining the cue' and waiting w/ everyone else even though you've been communicating w/ dispatch for months.

Strengths: Great Pic! Wonderful, vivid colors..Even the cat loves it.

    Weaknesses: None...So far.

Overall Evaluation: I have been reading a lot about other peoples experience with this brand. I also looked at the sony...side by side did not like it (sony) The next best brand for your money would be the LG HDTV. But to compare screen & size the SHARP AQUOS 52 HDTV is a better Pic & decent Price. Getting the right hook up to get the complete use out of the T.V. was a little frustrating. This is our First LCD HDTV. I wish that the choice in colors varied. I woud have liked a matte silver finish vs. the black finish. But it is a very sleek and elegant TV. Our guests do not realize there is a TV in the room until I turn it on and they our shocked. We have had the TV for 5 weeks and love it. My one regret is that I should have upgraded to a 60" or 65". If you are serious and are ready to purchase compare you room size and remember the The Sharp is about 5 1/2 inches deep and look at a bigger screen.

Strengths: This tv is a fantastic performer and it's 'future safe'!

Weaknesses: Factory setting a bit out of whack. Picture looks slightly different when you watch from an angle.

Overall Evaluation: I was looking at many different TV's before deciding on this one. I upgraded from a Sony LCD projection TV that was a few years old and the Sharp has a much better picture, especially as far as contrast and black levels. The blacks looked dark-grey on the Sony (the newer models look much better though) and this was the major reason for the upgrade. Black levels on the Sharp are excellent and it shows much more detail than my older TV. The picture is very, very good on this panel with much more detail than what you actually can see from a normal viewing distance. Color reproduction is fantastic and the brightness can be set to very high levels so you can still watch, even in a very bright room. The Sharp has a feature that adjusts the brightness level on the TV per the brightness in the room. This way the Sharp will show a darker picture at night rather than during the day, this is a very handy feature. If you look very close, like 1-2 feet, you can see that each pixel is close to one another and there is not much gap in between them, this proves that the Sharp is a quality product. The picture is 'full'. The Sharp also has a DVI input that accepts PC signals. It's the coolest thing to hook up a PC and set the resolution to 1920x1080. The manual said it wasn't possible, but it still worked! I even managed to connect my fathers camcorder with European PAL signal and the Sharp handled it, a nice surprise since the older Sony couldn't. The resolution is 1920x1080 which is the highest resolution HDTV describes, thus this monitor is 'future safe'. I plan to get a HD DVD or Blueray as soon as the darn format war is over, can't wait. It was no problem buying a refurbished product (less than 2 grand). I was nervous about this but the TV showed up only a few day after I ordered it and it was in impeccable condition. Thank you 2nd act! Overall I'm extremley happy with the Sharp and I can highly recommend it to anyone. Oh, did I mention that the design of the TV rocks! This TV looks very cool. Also, it starts up in only a few seconds.
