  Strengths: From a novice perspective I don't think it could have been easier.

  Weaknesses: None.

  Overall Evaluation: I thought it was going to be really complicated but it was a breeze. It came with a little CD to install on both computers. Then when you connected the computers with the cable it walked you through every single step. And it even recommended which files and installations that you should transfer. You had the option of accepting the recommendations or you could individually identify what you wanted to transfer. It was unbelievably fast. I thought it was going to take hours but it went super fast. The written instructions with the cable and the online help were very specific and easy to follow. I was really pleased with it and we were so glad we could keep all our pictures and everything. From start to finish it only took about one and a half hours including very careful review of instructions and documentation. But the transfer only took about ten minutes. I was really amazed at how easy it was. It also gave me the option of moving my old XP operating system to my new computer which had a Vista OS.

  Overall Evaluation: I am very satisfied with this Belkin cable. The cord is relatively long so it allows you to connect computers that are far apart. The quality is very high. The actual transfer of files takes a while and you have to set up the easy transfer utility with the CD that comes with the product. Overall, it is a good product for the price and I would definitely recommend it.

  Strengths: Easy to Use, quick, has a nice long cord for easy hookup.

  Overall Evaluation: Followed easy directions, installed software, hooked up right out of the box and went to work moving files from Xp unit to Vista unit. The product does exactly what it says it will do, with ease. Would recommend to others.

  Overall Evaluation: Great price for great product. Must have to transfer information from old computer to new VISTA operating computer. Much less expensive than hiring a contractor to do the work for you.

  Strengths: It worked very easily to transfer the files from my laptop to my new pc. I would recomend this to anyone who needs to transfer their files from one computer to another.

  Overall Evaluation: All you have to do is plug in the USB's to each of your computers and then load the software from the cd. It's very easy to use. The transfer works from XP computers to Vista computers.This cable is a lifesaver for me because I don't have time to figure all that stuff out. It is so easy to use. It includes software and guides you through the transfer. Works great!!!

  Strengths: Easily transfer files and personal settings from Windows XP PC to a new Windows Vista PC

  Weaknesses: It's a bit pricey

  Overall Evaluation: Eliminates need to spend hours burning CDs or DVDs to copy and transfer data.The Windows Easy Transfer Wizard automatically appears and lets you select items to copy. I have used it to transfer 20 GB of photos in around 30 minutes.

  Strengths: (1) Transfers files very fast (2)Nice interface for file sync (Laplink PC sync provided)

  Weaknesses: None

  Overall Evaluation: Now you don't need a flash drive to transfer files or sync your laptop with your desktop computers. With Belkin's transfer cable and a Laplink PC sync (it comes with), you can sync very easily. And it does the job so FAST! If you are transfering a large number of files from XP to XP, you need to install the software on both of your computers. It works great!

  Overall Evaluation: This cable is a lifesaver for the lazy or those who don't have an extra hard drive to copy all their data to. Included software guides you through the entire process. Transfer wizard 101. Easy and quick(fairly).

  Strengths: Easy to use and set up.

  Weaknesses: have to go to advanced settings to transfer Outlook.pst files.

  Overall Evaluation: Included disk has all the required software to make the transfer painless. I work at a large company that is going to Vista and this device has been a life saver. I have used it to transfer files on over one hundred computers and have not had any issues.

  Overall Evaluation: Just plug in the USB's to each of your computers and load the software. It's very simple and doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out. Belkin did great once again. The transfer works from XP computers to Vista computers. Excellent!
