  Overall Evaluation: I have the ps3 and I really recomend to others because in many facts I think it is superior than the xbox 360, like in the bluray drive, because in a ps3 you have already a HD drive with a powerfull gaming console and a very interactive computer, where you can chat with others and sending message to them, also with the ps eye you can what them; by the contrary the 360 you have to buy the HD drive, and you have to pay for playing in online and you can't experience the 100% of the concole if you don't area gold member.

  Strengths: Cell processor, Blu-Ray, sixaxis, the possibilities this machine brings are endless

  Weaknesses: Slow start for game titles, but so was PS2, none others

  Overall Evaluation: Lets put it this way, this thing is absolutely unreal as far as the possibilities. The games aren't even touching the capabiliities of the PS3 yet. Wait until some company takes advantage of the cell processor, the games will make 360 look like N64 did when PS2 came out. Seriously, this thing has potential. Not to mention when compared to 360 this thing is waaay cheaper when you count everything. Add HD-DVD, wireless card, and online play, you will pay well over $600 for the 360. You get all of that with PS3 for $600 on the dot. The only way the PS3 will not be worth it is if Blu-Ray loses the format battle. Go buy one today, I haven't bought my own, saving for it. My friend has one, it is amazing!

  Overall Evaluation: I'm not going to list the good things that this machine is offering you as a home entertainment center, instead I'm going to tell you a very personal experience that happened to me just few hours after buying this device. I was navigating my PS3 through my SIXAXIS controller. While navigating, i was thinking that I've just paid for a big black shiny box which has nothing included with it but a single controller. Then I thought that I'm going to pay more money to fully load my PS3, I was wrong. I took my Nokia bluetooth headset and turned it on, then i went to the bluetooth devices menu inside my PS3 to authorize it. IT WORKED!!!, i thought that I have to buy a headset that is specially made for PS3. Not only the Nokia headset, but I tried a PC mouse and it worked too, I just pluged it into the usb port and it was working very fine, not only a mouse but also my PC keyboard and my favourite Logitech MOMO force feedback racing wheel, this is crazy. These things can't be done with the Xbox360

  Overall Evaluation: This thing is a beast, excelent gameplay, awesome controllers. But who cares about it blowing out hot air every game system does it's not like your going to die if it does heat up, and so what if the top of it smudges your going to be looking at your tv more than 99% of the time, and if you care so much wipe it. It's weight is a little much but If you do take it somewhere wrap it in something light and soft and don't put it in your school bag unless you can take it. The new controllers are super sensitive and light, they just need games to take full advantage of the six axis technology. Everyone is complaining about the rumble feature but if you really miss it then buy a giant ass subwoofer, it's hardly noticeable though. All in all PS3 is better than 360, and wii but only in power and storage, Wii is better for being compact and innovative, and 360 still has it's kick ass online capabilities.

  Overall Evaluation: I bought this system at launch (Fall 06). I even paid extra for it. I have never regretted it. The system, up until now, has suffered from lack of exclusive games and a lag in certain multi-platform release dates. That will change in 08. Games like Metal Gear Solid 4, Little Big Planet, Final Fantasy XIII, God of War III, Gran Turismo 5, Resistance 2, and White Knight Story (as well as the development of Home, the new free online community due out soon for PS3 owners), will be a stellar year for the PS3. I plugged mine in it worked!)In summary, the system's ability to play CDs, DVDs, Blu Rays, HD games, DivX and AVI files from USB drives (taken from the computer), its wireless (or ethernet, if you prefer) connectivity, its backward compatibility, its free online community, and its overall quiet running, super-reliable performance make it the top candidate for years to come. And the 60 GB launch model is the best PS3, hands down.And I didn't even mention PlayTV, which is Sony's new product that will allow PS3 owners to record TV to their PS3s just like with TiVO. And don't forget, if you have a PSP, any files on your PS3, including photos, music, video files, TV, and some games, are accessible from anywhere there is a wireless hotspot.

  Strengths: The 60GB version is a great BR player and game machine. Plays PS2 games without a hitch.

  Weaknesses: none

  Overall Evaluation: The 80GB will replace the 60GB version and that fancy core chip in the PS3 will be no more as we know it. Buy this while you can get this great box.

  Weaknesses: Where are Socom & Metal Gear?

  Overall Evaluation: The console is very well constructed. It feels rugged. The user interface is very intuitive. With the new 1.80 operating system I can stream music and video from my PC. In the future I will be able to use it as a slingbox with my PSP. The graphics on this machine are unbelievable. All we need now are more games. In the mean time it is a great blu-ray dvd player.

  Overall Evaluation: I purchased the PS3 for two reasons, gaming and BluRay DVD capability. I have recently upgraded to HD and felt that I had might as well pay the +/- 600 for the Playstation since it was not significantly different then a BluRay player. I have not been disappointed with the gaming aspect of the PS3. I have not been that impressed with the difference between a normal DVD and BluRay. The 7.1 surround output (yes I have a 7.1 setup) does not significantly differ from the 5.1 output to the reciever that then artificially creates 7.1. I have the PS3 inside a cabinet that houses the rest of my home theater electronics. I have recieved a over heat message because I left the door closed. I have since removed the back panel of the credenza but it is clear that Sony could have done a little better on the heat distribution.It is no secret that the game selection is still limited for the PS3. This continues to be the case. The games are expensive at $60 each but I have found that you can get them from online stores for +/- $30 each.

  Strengths: Great graphics, easy to use, plays audio and video on many mediums, surround sound and internet.

  Weaknesses: expensive

  Overall Evaluation: Too expensive for a game machine. But, if you know it's capabilities and use it to it's full potential, it is well worth the money. I use it for DVDs and CDs. My 13 year-old uses it almost exclusively for games. Hooked up to a projector and surround sound it is incredible
