Strengths: Vivid display, 22" widescreen, great contrast ratio.
Weaknesses: n/a
Overall Evaluation: I just love this monitor; I bought it to replace my 19" Viewsonic VX924 Gaming Monitor. The pictures and colors on this monitor are much better than on my other monitor. I love the 22" display, not too big or too small, for me anyway. Some people complain that this monitor does not have a height adjustment, but it does have a bends-back-& -forth adjustment, which works just fine for me. Samsung makes some great monitors & LCD TVs, and I highly reccommend this computer monitor. I have not watched a movie on it yet, but I can't wait! Be sure to comparison shop for this monitor, as prices can vary, between being $50-$100++tax more expensive at various online or B&M stores. This is the best computer monitor I have ever had.

Strengths: Fantastic image quality
Weaknesses: Some versions of this panel have bad backlight bleed, pixelated DVD playback in dark areas. Power light too bright.
Overall Evaluation: There are three versions of this monitor and you won't know which one you get until you open the box. There is no consensus on which panel is best. However, the "S" version seems to get the most good votes. I originally had an "A" version, and it had terrible backlight bleed and pixelated DVD playback when showing dark areas. I exchanged the "A" and got a "C" panel that has almost no backlight bleed and certainly has no pixelated DVD playback. As far as I can tell, it's beautiful.

Strengths: Great display for the price. The manufacture's rebate did not hurt! Stylish, fast response time, good contrast, space saving and a good value.
Weaknesses: The Stand! There is no real height adjustment. It's possible to refasten the stand upright to the monitor for a slight increase in height.
Overall Evaluation: I had purchased the smaller Samsung 906bw for another computer. Its performance for the price was so impressive that it was a quick decision to pick up the larger 226bw for another desk top. The monitor's size is great for most applications plus it has greatly increased usable desk space. My teenager thinks it is "wow." The blue power light is a bit bright.

Strengths: Incredible video, Great Price
Weaknesses: None
Overall Evaluation: For the price, this monitor is fantastic. Text is good. Images are good. Video is unreal. The monitor is lighter than some 17" monitors. The stand has a small footprint. The monitor adjusts for tilt and left-right. I do not consider height adjustment to be important. The monitor is bright and colors are vibrant. Some LCD monitors need to be adjusted to almost 100% in order to achieve adequately brightness. This monitor is fine at 50%. Some color adjustment programs are bundled with the monitor. I haven't tried them since I use Spyder2 for color management. This monitor replaced an HP 19" monitor. Although that monitor was one of the better things I purchased from HP, I am very pleased with my purchase of this great Samsung 22" monitor.

Strengths: Vivid colors, high resolution, quick response time! It looks great at my home. The 22" is the perfect size to my desk.
Weaknesses: None so far. Unadjustable level.
Overall Evaluation: The Samsung 22" monitor is a great deal for the price. I replaced my old IBM 17" (which was a great flat panel) and I was afraid about the quality and the resolution, but this TFT LCD display put my doubts away. The 2ms response time makes it perfect for games and movies. The colors are vivid and the resolution (1680x1050) is perfect to work with my documents. It was a great purchase.

Strengths: Excellent price for the quality of this 22" LCD. I especially enjoy the option of watching DVDs using the included DVI cable. The option of customizating the color balance is easy to use.
Weaknesses: Unable to move monitor vertically. Black gloss finish looks great but scratches easily.
Overall Evaluation: The SyncMaster 226BW LCD monitor replaced my old CRT monitor from Dell. My main reason for purchasing the monitor is for digital photography, and watching movies. I soon realize the 22" monitor would enable me to connect a TV turner to watch television on this amazing screen. The 2ms refresh rate is the best for watching DVDs and the 1680x1050 screen size enables me to watch widescreen videos and edit digital photos with detailed precision. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and recommend this product anyone looking to purchase 22" monitor.

Strengths: Very nice picture. Clean looking design. Only took minutes to set up color balance.
Weaknesses: Would have been nice to have an adjustable stand but that's not a real big deal.
Overall Evaluation: I updated from my 19" screen thinking it is just the next step. Still getting used to the large size. Great for watching widescreen movies. The tilt stand does help when sitting on the couch viewing movies.

Strengths: 22" Screen is phenomenal for its size.Visually a beautiful monitor, very impressive looking.2ms refresh time: best on the market.Price was very competitive. NewEgg Delivered it in 2 business days.
Weaknesses: None so far except monitor height can't be adjusted, but this is not a concern for me. Also, if you look down on the monitor from above (not eye level), it is a little difficult to make out the screen
Overall Evaluation: I will try to update my comments on the product a little further into my usage of it. But so far, so good! The extra desktop space if perfect. Right now I'm using an analog connection (VGA). I need to upgrade my video card to DVI. So the picture can only get clearer.
