Duration of ownership:2 Years
Strengths: pretty good quality pictures, small, pretty compact, easy setup and configuration, prints fairly fast when on standard mode, great price, good variety of settings you can customize to fit your needs
Weaknesses: no receiver tray, a little loud (can be improved a bit by setting to quiet mode), quality isn't great on standard mode when printing finer/smaller text or graphics, very slow on better quality
Overall Evaluation: The lack of receiving tray is inconvenient for me because I have very limited space and the printer usually has to print off of an edge, I have to wait with my hand under it. I usually miss and it flies all over the place. Not very fun. It tends to suck up ink fast but, if you can figure out how to use and ink injection kit, it's a good way to keep the price way down and I don't think it makes a difference in quality or anything. It's just a little messy when your doing it! And, yes, it is possible to use injection to refill the multicolor cartridges. It may seem obvious to most, but some people just don't believe me when I tell them that.

Duration of ownership:60 Years
Strengths: Can beat the Epson Stylus 680 in top trumps
Weaknesses: Can not beat an egg
Overall Evaluation: Wish it could beat an egg. The only issue i have with this printer is the fact that i can not put it in my pocket. I often like to print outdoors. I find that this priniter is ok if you wish to print in the bath but other than that it's crap.

Strengths: price, photo print good
Weaknesses: cartridges don't last long
Overall Evaluation: This is a great printer for the price, great photo quality print for only $50 is great. Cartridges don't last long, like 150 pages for black, but cartridges are cheap. Just make sure to keep plenty of cartridges around.

Strengths: price and print quality
Weaknesses: a little noisy
Overall Evaluation: I'm very pleased with this Canon printer. It was really inexpensive and the set up from the box was very easy. It ia a little noisy, but the print quality is better than my old HP 930C. The cartridges are also inexpensive and easy to find. Overall, I am very happy with this printer.

Duration of ownership:2 Months
Strengths: cheap printer
Weaknesses: expensive inks
Overall Evaluation: I bought this little printer about two months when it was free bundled with a laptop. I just threw it away since it ran out of inks. There're so many cheap printers out there, and sometimes it's cheaper to get a new printer than to buy inks. The printing quality is good.

Duration of ownership:1 Months
Strengths: Excellent Print Quality, Small Footprint, Great Value!
Weaknesses: Uses a single tank for all 3 color inks.
Overall Evaluation: This printer seems to be the best combination of a high-end color printer, and low-end color photo printer. While the photos printed are not as good as its bigger sibling, the iP3000, they are still pretty impressive for a color printer of this size!

Duration of ownership:10 Days
Strengths: low price, compact design, easy set-up, acceptable picture quality
Weaknesses: a little bit noisy
Overall Evaluation: I got this ip1500 photo printer combined with a perchase of laptop from Microcenter. There's a $50rebate so it's actually free after rebate. But the picture quality is pretty good despite of the low price(I tried it on Fuji Premium Plus photopapers). Okay, I admit the pic quality is not as good as the higher versions ip3000 or ip4000, but I got what I paid for, I'm not demanding too much . The printer has a very compact design and very easy to setup, it took only a few minutes to plug in the printer head and ink tanks and install the driver. Now I could use it to print out some color graphic documents for my work, very happy with it. Oh, the printing speed is not that bad, though it's a little noisy.

Strengths: Good value for price ($50). Decent quality. Compact.
Weaknesses: No tray. Obviously Canon cut as much cost as possible on this printer. Slow.
Overall Evaluation: For it's cost, it's decent. But don't pay more than $50 for this printer. Photos come out okay, but nothing to write home about. Black and white is decent. This is a good starter printer, but if you're a photo junkie, get a higher quality printer.
