Duration of ownership:3 Years
Strengths: Great quality display
Weaknesses: Faulty after 3 years, No part ready for repair
Overall Evaluation: I bought mine from Circuit City 3 years ago. BIG MISTAKE and Yes they still exist! About 3 months ago, it started having blank displays. The sound was still there but there were no images at all. We were able to purchase a warranty with Circuit City. They tried to fix it but they said the whole panel had to be replaced. They also said that unfortunately, Samsung didn't have the part so we will have to wait. After pestering them for 3 months, Circuit City finally agrees to either replace the tv or give us cash. We bought it for more than $2k in 3 years ago and they are able to give us $900 only. We agree to it since we don't want to deal with Circuit City anymore ever and we want to buy another brand.

Strengths: High quality picture
Weaknesses: Very delicate
Overall Evaluation: It took me a while to make up my mind as to what T.V. I wanted, but I finally decided to go with this model. And I have to thank the person from the sales department of Payless Plasma. If not for him I would still be stuck trying to figure out what T.V. I wanted. He simply told me about this T.V. and it?s background and I loved it. This is a great T.V. for anyone looking for a new 42 inch Samsung.

Strengths: Scaling is superb! No matter the format transmitted this set scales up to 768p or 1080p with ease. This includes standard format DVDs, digital cable (non-HDTV), even VCRs!Picture is excellent.
Weaknesses: Sound is okay, but have a suround sound system to utilize, a bit slow to warmup.
Overall Evaluation: The price performance ratio for the LNT4665F is exellent! Its performance and features rival Sony at considerably less cost! I sincerely think this is one of the best LCD HDTV's on the market. Connectivity and setup was eazy and hookup to FiOS (Verizon) went smoothly. You really will love this rig!

Strengths: Easy Set-up, picture perfect, colors are amazing, blacks equal any high end plasma other than the top tier plasmas, easy adjustments to suit taste of viewer, lighting conditions and sound.
Weaknesses: Pip feature, still working on connection to use PIP and gaming
Overall Evaluation: Like most buyers I did a lot of online research, I was set on either Sony LCD or Panasonic Plasma, two companies with quality products which I've owned and never had any problems with, both companies offer great pictures in side by side comparison ,however, Samsung always stood out in the stores, after seeing HDTV pictures of several brands in various homes, I was most impressed with the Samsung pictures. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Also the expert review on reflection of the screen being a problem has little basis in fact, my sunny living room is a non factor with the quality of the picture.

Duration of ownership:4 Days
Strengths: Picture looked good the four days it worked!! Still waiting to get it repaired!!
Weaknesses: Samsung does not let you return defective TVs even though mine only ran a total of maybe 8 hours (2 hours each day)!!
Overall Evaluation: The service center that Samsung deals with in Wisconsin is terrible. The store asks the symptoms then without even looking at the TV states they do not have the part and will have to order it. Takes 5 days to get the part which they only "think" will fix the problem. I got the TV 3 weeks ago today (it was a Friday). It failed (no pictures just lines by Monday). I called Samsung, had to call the repair company and found out they would not get the part until the following Monday. I called the store I bought it from, PC Nations, and the salesperson said I would be able to return the TV since it was only working a few days. I canceled the board I had on order (the repair place said this would not be a problem) and then PC Nations' return department waited a week (I contacted them daily), saying they were working on getting me an RMA. Then they said I could not return it, Samsung makes you get it repaired, but they stated they called the repair company and explained the situation. I called the repair company on Monday and they said they had the part (they did not cancel the order), but no one could come until Thursday (last night). No one came or called and today they called stating the delivery person did not have my paper work (even though I had called the day before to make sure everything was setup). They are suppose to come tomorrow and hopefully they will and the part they bring will fix the TV. This coming Monday it will be 3 weeks since the TV has not worked. So if you do not care if you have a working TV or not, then buy this one!

Strengths: good response time make scene transition very smooth.sound is wonderful and have different selection.easy on-screen menu.easy setup.
Weaknesses: There's a lot of talk about HDMI problems. So far I don't have any problem probably because of the latest firmware and motherboard.
Overall Evaluation: I bought it from Onecall. Got it within 5 days. Onecall also match lowest price within 7 days. Shipping is free, though I need to set it up myself. Well, I managed that without any help. So far so good, I could not be happier.

Strengths: Excellent picture quality; Very good price
Weaknesses: Shaky HDMI inputs at 1080p; but there's remedy.
Overall Evaluation: These Samsung's have the best picture we've seen side by side in the showroom and rival those from the Sony's at just 2/3 of the price. When the TV arrived we are not disappoint with the picture and even the built-in sound on the TVs are very decent with good surround effect from just the TV speakers.HD picture quality is execellent with good contrast that make it looks more like plasma. It does have a reflective front surface so if you have a bright light source in front of TV reflection might be a problem.SD sources looks OK in from the built-in tuner. I found that for SD source the picture is much better from our external ReplayTV than the built-in tuner. There are some minor glitches nonetheless. The power button on the 52" would get stuck sometimes when pressed on the side rather than the middle. We didn't arrange for an exchange since we were offered a discount from the seller instead. We bought an Upscaling HDMI DVD player to use with the set. Picture quality does improve quite a bit compared to our component DVD players. However, when running at 1080p, we notice occasionally screen flashes just for fractions of a second and returns to normal. At first we thought the DVD player may be the culprit but exchanging the DVD player yield the same result. In later research we found this to be a common problem in the Samsung, especially for model manufactured in June or earlier. (Ours are from March/April.) There is a fix from Samsung which involve switching a motherboard for HDMI in the set and/or updating firmware in the set. We had not requested the service on the sets yet since the problem are not very frequent and Samsung had come out with newer version of the board every month or 2. We will likely wait till close to end of warranty to request our service so we can just get to the latest board once and be done with.Reminder for owners: register your set online with Samsung and you'll get 15 month warranty instead of 12.
