    Duration of ownership:6 Months

    Strengths: Easy set up

Weaknesses: No IP by Mac address, not good for internet games

Overall Evaluation: It took me months to find the downside of this product, but once it was discovered it was a killer. After having lots of problem with internet games, I narrowed down the problem to having this as a router. If I connect directly to the cable modem, no problems. If I go through this router, I will get disconnected within a few minutes. Another buddy of mine with the same router also has the same problem. Linksys support wouldn't even respond. I also miss being able to assign IP addresses in the DHCP server by MAC address of the network card.

    Duration of ownership:4 Months

Strengths: Easy to set up with Zoomtown (Cincinnati aDSL). Decent setup interface and price.

Weaknesses: Large. Port numbers not easily identified from front.

Overall Evaluation: I got this router after breaking a Netgear router over my knee trying to get it to work with Zoomtown DSL. The Linksys set up a lot easier and is working fine. I am using it on a network using dynamic IP addressing. I bought another one for the other office's network I manage, which uses static IPs. It has not worked as well as I had hoped for static routing. If you use zoomtown, check out www.gotbroadband.org for login client downloads and info.
