Strengths: -Very accurate colors right out of the box-Very detailed picture-Good analog & digital turner-A lot of inputs-A lot of adjustments on the menu-Great preventive options for burn-ins
Weaknesses: -Remote can have better layout-Blacks are both a hit and a miss-Some image retention-*Potential Quality control problems (mine has 2 stuck pixels)
Overall Evaluation: I have this TV for a month. I've never brought a Samsung TV before but for most part, I was pleased for the purchase. At first everything was fine except there was 2 stuck pixels. One was on the top left of the screen and the other was at the middle right. Luckily both return to normal after about 100hr of use. I used this TV on PS3 (games & Blu-ray) and a PC. PS3 was very good via HDMI and I've try connecting the PC thru VGA but it wasn't as clear as I use a HDMI to DVI cable. Image retention wasn't very bad as you'll only notice when it's a black screen and the room is totally dark. Black levels are a bit strange as I find if the scene has people wearing dark clothes, it'll show up very well, but on shadows details are missing. If you can afford it then go with a Pioneer, otherwise the Samsung is a good choice for the amount of money.
