Strengths: Very well built! rock solid performance cause we had a surge recently. Never even blinked an eye!
Weaknesses: none as of yet!
Overall Evaluation: Just a must if you have high end equipment and want to protect it properly! Excellent!! Got it for a very low price at buy.com and i just read several reviews and I could not resist. There are alot of other products out there that claim they are better but don't spend $100's of dollars on something that this product alone can do. It has a metal housing and is built to last. I have a 47" lcd tv a ps3 and a receiver and a directv dvr hooked up to this and it works great!! BOTTOM LINE!!!

Strengths: Solid steel cased unit.Plenty of connections: 10 AC 3 Video BCD.Nice size for hidden placement.Advertised premium protection backed by a $500,000 lifetime insurance policy.
Weaknesses: Do not know any yet.
Overall Evaluation: I wanted a resonably priced quality surge protector for my home entertainment system which has some expensive equipment to protect. It also had to fit in the space available. After some research I settled on the Tripp Lite Isobar Premium HT10DBS which, on paper, fits my requirements. I will not know how it really performs until it has to which I hope is never. I am concerned with the wording of terms of the $500,000 insurance policy which seem to leave any coverage up to lot of wiggle room interpretation. Don't know how good the protection is unto you need it.

Duration of ownership:
Strengths: Solid build, built for home theater, optional wall or cabinet mounting.
Weaknesses: none.
Overall Evaluation: This is a great unit, best to shop around as prices vary alot. Looked at Monster Power, APC and Tripp Lite, which all make great units. I wasn't very familiar with what was available so researching took awhile. It's boils down to how much surge protection in Joules you want and how much you budget for this item.

Strengths: Rugged construction with high quality materials; isolated filter banks
Weaknesses: I'd like to have a lockable on/off switch
Overall Evaluation: When you pick this unit up, you know its built with quality materials and is made to last. Although I had my A/V system to a fairly hexpensive surge protector, I still would experience occasional line noise and chose the HT10DBS because of its robust power conditioning and isolation. So far my system performance has been top notch and the video line noise appears to be defeated. I went with Tripp after investigating how and why my son's lcd tv was fried while being attached to an expensive surge strip from anaother big name maker. My system does not have an lcd or flat panel and went with this model; if a system does have a large flat panel I would recommend upgrading to a unit with UPS built in such as HT1500UPS or the OMNI900LCD or SMART1000LCD.

Strengths: 10 OUTLETS, RF/COAX/FAX PROTECTION, BLACK COLOR, COLOR CODED
Weaknesses: NONE
Overall Evaluation: I MUST SAY I WAS SKEPTICAL AT FIRST, COMPARING THIS UNIT TO THE MONSTER POWER STAGE WAS UNFAIR. THIS THING IS HEAVIER THAN CEMENT WHICH IS GOOD I GUESS. PLENTY OF OUTLETS PLUS IT IS SMALLISH.

Weaknesses: None
Overall Evaluation: I've used this isobar for 10 days. It is protecting my home theater equipment. Has 10 outlets with excellent surge protection. Has 3 indicator lights which can be very bright at night (2 greens 1 red). Also has plenty of RF signal protection as well as coaxial/phone. So far so good!

Strengths: Clamping voltage of 140V, Several outles well spaced and filtered, Robust construction
Weaknesses: None
Overall Evaluation: Several AV review sites recommend the Tripp Lite Isobar Premium HT10DBS for systems as expensive as $75,000. Sounds like they trust it to me. I especially like the clamping voltage at 140 volts. Talk about protecting my sensitive electronics from power fluctuations. This is the one to buy.

Duration of ownership:2 Days
Strengths: 3570 joules surge suppression; EMI/RFI line noise filtering; 10 outlets; lots of coax and phone connectors; size (slim)
Weaknesses: None
Overall Evaluation: What is there to say? Unlike a TV or other electronic device, this one has few "features" to play with and either like or dislike. Bought for $25 at local office supply store. Great clearance deal. No noticible improvement in image quality, mainly because I already have fairly "clean" lines. (so I can't comment on how it would improve an otherwise noisy setup). I believe you will like the size/slimness of the unit, as well as the number of inputs (plugs, etc.) available.
