Overall Rating: 5 Star Review
Duration of ownership:8 Months
Strengths: Easy to understand UI, compatibility with iTunes purchases, Safari Internet browser, no labyrinth of menus to access different functionality, large high-quality screen for videos.
Weaknesses: Not enough storage (16GB max), poor external speaker, weak camera, no 3G.
Overall Evaluation: With the beautiful and simple UI on the iPhone, Apple has revolutionized the way common people can interact with their phone. The Safari web browser and email application provide a phenomenal Internet experience. The PDA tools, iPod, and phone are combined brilliantly in a way that makes sense to even non tech-savvy consumers. When the main weaknesses of the phone, such as the lack of 3G and storage options, are addressed in the next revision, the iPhone will be unbeatable.

Overall Rating: 2 Star Review
Duration of ownership:2 Months
Strengths: Three usefull services in one
Weaknesses: warranty coverage
Overall Evaluation: My son bought this phone and it worked great for two months till one day he had it on vibrate and it fell off the table and of course the face plate shattered when it hit the tile floor. I called Apple for him and they said he had to have there insurance to get it replaced which happens to be $500.00 the price the phone cost. I think there warranty should cover a shattered face plate. I saw it happen myself so they cant say my son did it any other way. The phone is great if you leave it in a drawer.

Overall Rating: 4 Star Review
Duration of ownership:
Strengths: design, features
Weaknesses: locked to AT&T
Overall Evaluation: This phone has all the features that you can expect in a smart phone and more. It combines 3 devices (iPod, PDA, cell phone) into one, so you don't have to carry three separate devices. The design is also very slick, bearing Apple's trademark. The downside of this phone is that it can only be used with AT&T wireless service.

Overall Rating: 5 Star Review
Duration of ownership:3 Months
Strengths: Large touch screen; WiFi connectivity; Visual voice mail; All-in-one smartphone.
Weaknesses: No VoIP function; Phone locked exclusive to AT&T; Only 2 Megapixel camera.
Overall Evaluation: I purchased this phone after the price drop in Apple store online before discontinuted. It is a decent phone containing all the functions you needed, for instances music player, video player, web broswer, calendar, and of course phone. I no longer have to bring iPod, PDA and cell phone separately. As it can only be used in AT&T network (unlock excepted), you cannot use it when you are travelling abroad unless you are willing to pay extensive roaming fee. Taken together, I am amazed and satisfied the functions of this iPhone, and am happy to be a late buyer after the price drop.

Overall Rating: 3 Star Review
Duration of ownership:7 Days
Strengths: stylish
Weaknesses: price
Overall Evaluation: again the iphone is basically an ipod touch plus the cellular phone capability. as far as design goes, i think iphone is an awesome product from apple but the price may not justify all the fancy features. The touch screen works surprisingly well but when you hold the phone, you might feel like it's so fragile in that the phone could easily get scratches on the screen. Wifi browsing is cool and convenient and the biggest attraction is that you can use your two thumbs to zoom in or out the browser.

Duration of ownership:1 Weeks
Strengths: Stunning display+A sleek design+Innovative multitouch user interface+Superb Web surfing experience+Easy-to-use apps+Excellent music player
Weaknesses: Variable call quality-Lacks some basic features-Including stereo Bluetooth and 3G-Integrated memory is stingy for an iPod-You have to sync the iPhone to manage music content
Overall Evaluation: Despite some important missing features, a slow data network and call quality that doesn't always deliver, the Apple iPhone sets a new benchmark for an integrated mobile phone and MP3 player.
