Strengths: It plays your favorite music (built-in iPod functionality), search anything online (using Google search), get directions (using Google maps), surf the internet (EDGE or Wi-Fi networking).
Weaknesses: Two weaknesses; it freezes, once in a while & the battery doesn't last long, specially when you go online often.
Overall Evaluation: Generally, iPhone is indeed a revolutionary mobile phone that allows one to make a call by simply tapping on it; to check a name or number in one's address book; & surf the web; etc. It automatically syncs all contacts from a PC, Mac, or a Web based address book. It also let one select & listen to voicemail messages in whatever order one wants. It can also play your favorite music (built-in iPod functionality), search anything online (using Google search), get directions (using Google maps), surf the internet (EDGE or Wi-Fi networking), where ever you are, & much more!

Overall Evaluation: comment: Spent a trip in Far East, iphone was activated by itself. After surfing email and website, received a very surprising bill by AT&T - Data Roaming Detail charge, rate is $0.01 per Kilobyte. My bill reached over one thousand dollars for 3 weeks. If you will make a trip, call AT&T first if you plan to carry your iphone aboard.

Strengths: Ease of use, great interface, piece of art.
Weaknesses: No multi-media messaging-just text!, can't view attachments, no flash, no auto-focus on camera, volume is so bad (ringers, in-coming calls), limited applications, price, service with AT&T-horrible service, too many dropped calls, no service areas. Battery life is okay but if your WIFI or EMAIL is on all the time, max is 1/2 day with full charge
Overall Evaluation: Overall, the product itself is very innovative and has a great interface, its a work of art. Other than the "Cool" factor, this phone rates at 5 out of 10. My previous phone which I still use and carry (added an extra line), W810i by Sony Ericksson, is by far the best phone I've ever had. It kicks the the iphone's behind, hands down! For the amount you are going to pay for the iPhone, look at other Hi-end phones and you'll be much happier. The LOCKED iPhone is not recommended for techie users, hack it and enjoy all the other applications available! Open the platform Apple! This wa$ my first Apple purchase and not quite happy with it.

Strengths: small easy to use
Weaknesses: does not allow installation of necessary plug-ins for certain websites that have streaming video for example. can not install a Skype client to make voip calls bypassing GSM provider for long distance calls. Very expensive for what you are getting.
Overall Evaluation: Lots of hype about this phone but it does not have enough kick to be worth $600 I'd wait for the next model.

Strengths: Display is awesome. Visual Voicemail is great!
Weaknesses: Battery life (only because you can actually use this phone and you will)
Overall Evaluation: This is a fantastic phone. Keep in mind that its not a camera and not an iPod. It is a phone that works great as a phone and has some other features like music and camera. The visual voicemail, contacts, zoom in and out on the web all work effortlessly.I use this phone twice as much as any other phone. I've owned and I have had treos blackberry's mda's razors. I've had a cell phone since 1994. No phone compares to the iPhone

Strengths: Screen looks amazing, the internet works just as well as when I'm at home, Wi-Fi connectivity, 8GB storage, easily syncs with computer, very intuitive and easy to navigate, keyboard works better than any other kind I've tried, new interface for voicemail.
Weaknesses: Big and clunky, poor phone quality, poor picture taking quality, runs on EDGE, no voice calling.
Overall Evaluation: From the day I opened the iPhone up to this moment, I've never been unhappy about buying it. The phone quality is about equal to my past phone, which was free. Everything looks amazing on this screen, and every application is just so fun to play with. I love the youTube and map apps. I have been a Cingular/ATT customer for awhile, so it wasn't a problem signing up for a plan. In fact, they even let me replace my old phone on my family's share plan, even though it's not available for an upgrade for another 4 months. Probably not for business oriented clients, but for students, like me, this is a must have.

Strengths: fantastic interface impressive display sleek design Device convergence seamlessly jumps on open wi-fi instead of EDGE when avail (even though EDGE is not bad)
Weaknesses: Adapter requires for most headsets is HORRIBLE! Made by belkin. Need to carry and looks stupid! 8gb really tight otherwise great!
Overall Evaluation: I was up and running with my new AT&T number, synced music, podcasts, videos, adress book and everthing functional in 15 mins. Big WOW factor, easy to use, steamlessly hops on any open wi-fi for to leaver higher speed is great, and AT&T better network than I expected. Worth the hype.

Strengths: Everything
Weaknesses: No voice recorder!!!
Overall Evaluation: What can I say about the iphone that you haven't already heard if you're reading this review?! I guess I can just give my added 2 cents...so here goes.I had a blackberry, but gave it up b/c it was too expensive considering I didn't use it that often and too bulky. I wanted a phone that did more, but didn't have a exorbitantly expensive monthly fee. Nothing that was on the market impressed me until the iphone came out and I actually saw how cool it was and what it could do. However, I wouldn't have bought the iphone if the monthly fee was ridiculous, but to my pleasant surprise, based on my needs and usage, I found a monthly fee that was reasonable and worth it for all the additional features and usage I get out of my iphone. The best feature for me, being a busy nursing student with tons of classes, labs, appointments, etc is the calendar feature where I can put in all my activities so I know where I need to be at all times. My phone is always with me so having this at a glance is really valuable. I use the "notes" feature quite a bit to jot down little reminders to myself. The touch screen qwerty keyboard is major cool and fast. My sister texted me, "how is it I can text back so fast, I must text a lot?" I told her, "it's because of my touch screen allowing me the ability to text so fast." She was impressed. Being able to view the temperature let's me know what to wear before I leave the house so that's pretty cool. Finally, the built in ipod is great. It's another perk that reduces the number of items I have to carry with me. Essentially, I have a phone, pda and ipod all in one and in a small compact package. How cool is that, not to mention, efficient. The only note of discontent is that I wish a voice recorder was a feature of the ipod so I didn't have to carry a separate one with me to record class lectures or verbally remind myself of something when I have a quick thought I want to remember, but can't write down then and there. Other than that, the iphone rocks and I still haven't exploited all the cool things I can do!
