Duration of ownership:16 Months
Strengths: All features easy to use until carriage broke after 16 months usage.
Weaknesses: HP does not support this product with repair parts. Carriage broke after less than 1000 copies and could not be repaired or replaced.
Overall Evaluation: The HP 7410 is a piece of junk and mechanical failures are not supported by HP. Printer was for home use for 16 months and less than 1000 copies. When carriage malfunctioned, HP did not have a replacement part. Printer was useless and HP gave no satisfaction since i did not have an extended warranty. Do not purchase this product without the extended warranty.

Strengths: Very robust. Easy to setup wireless. Color is great.
Weaknesses: Paper trays seem small, could be larger.
Overall Evaluation: I am very satisfied and pleased with this quality product that I purchased. It is easy to setup and use. Several people use the OfficeJet 7410 with me; we use it everyday and depend on it. It has never let us down.

Duration of ownership:2 Years
Strengths: It prints and photocopies "ok"
Weaknesses: Can't receive faxes; scanner is marginal at best; flash card ports don't work; software "sucks"
Overall Evaluation: Owned two years. Made 53 calls for tech support. Every time I tried to download pics from card slots, had to uninstall and reinstall software. Can send but not receive faxes. In 67 years, I've never had a worse consumer product or service. HP SIMPLY DOES NOT DELIVER IT'S PROMISE. I'LL NEVER OWN ANOTHER HP ANYTHING, PERIOD !!!!!!!!!!!

Duration of ownership:1 Years
Strengths: Not very expensive to operate
Weaknesses: Feeder jams too frequently
Overall Evaluation: After having 3 HP all-in-ones I decided to try a fourth. There is virtually no difference in the quality of these machines. This one in particular, however, didn't make it the first year without some of the same traits found in the previous systems. The feeder jams and faxing documents has been nothing short of a chore on a consistant basis. If it's the occasional fax you need, this is a fine machine; any more than that- look elsewhere...

Strengths: I have found the HP7410 excellent
Weaknesses: I wish they made the room to fit the other cartridges in it also instead having to swap.
Overall Evaluation: I have owed alot of HP machines at least 2 printers and 7 multifunction machines and the 7410 is by far the best yet.I never seen any of my machines fax or print as fast as this one,I can not believe the features on the machine the color screen is crisp and clear.it has a very nice layout, and the keys are spread far enough apart where you don't hit other one's by mistake I have big hands (6'2" 375lbs)and I have no problems on it at all.I love the double stack paper feed (400 sheets) you don't have to keep refilling it all the time. The design is very nice again well laid out and a sharp looking machine does not look cheap like other machines I have seen. I think hearing people talking trash about it really don't know much about machines at all and they really don't know how to use a machine to it's fullest capibility.I don't need to use a machine for a month or two to see how it is,I can usually tell it about 10-15 minutes if it is a good machine.I have also owed canon's and epson's my first machine's before I had my HP'S and I will always stick to my HP'S. Again hp takes the cake even on styling and functions I always say it Hp machines never let me down and this 7410 just reassures me why I buy HP. I am so Glad that I got the 7410 it again is a HP(How Perfect). Joe D

Strengths: Fast printing when fast draft works properly
Weaknesses: YES, many. Can not print in draft mode from MS Streets and Trips thus killing ink cartridges quickly. Loses wireless connection often. Expensive and small ink cartridges. No double sided scanning???
Overall Evaluation: Not happy, giant POS, this is my 5th but final printer from HP. Not even going to bother with off-shore tech support and waste any more time, this is going straight in the TRASH!

Strengths: Features/funtcions (on paper) are tremendous
Weaknesses: The OfficeJet 7410 does NOT work as a wireless device with HP wireless PC's!
Overall Evaluation: I have spent about 20 hours on the phone with HP tech support (which is 100$ off-shore), and not one person can get this thing to work properly with the software. On my Windows XP service pack 2 machine the software installation won't even finish. It hangs up at about 96%, my CPU usage jumps to 100%, and the computer requres a restart. After speaking with multiple techs, and references to the senior tech as well as a "case manager", nothing has been resolved. I can NOT print from the computer using the wireless connection. To make matters worse, when running other programs, such as IE, I keep getting error messages about the "Generic host processor encountering errors". At one point the tech promised to call me back after researching the problem, and I never heard back from anyone. The answer I keep getting is that it is a known problem with XP Service Pack 2. Well, I also had the problem before I upgraded to Service pack 2. I upgraded at the suggestion of HP tech support, and it probably only made matters worse. After one tech totally screwed up my machine by changing settings, his final answer was to call Microsoft and have them tell me how to get WIA running again. I finally got it running on my own, but all the problems still exist. I have spent way too many hours trying to get this thing to work, and it's going back to the store tomorrow. I don't have any faith that HP will ever get this printer working. Their software just plain stinks. It's a shame, because I think the printer could do a really nice job with the correct interface, etc. I am returning this to OfficeMax after wasting my time for 10 days!

Strengths: Well, it DOES print... but at $500??? Come on!!!
Weaknesses: Read review below.
Overall Evaluation: Do NOT waste your time on the 7410. The main selling point, the wireless feature, does not work after 20-24 hours. Most people that purchase this printer might never use the wireless scanning and wireless faxing, or even have the wireless on, electing to connect this printer with USB or Ethernet instead. For those of us that have purchased the 7410 for its wireless capabilities, this is an outrage. A lot of $$$, and a tech support department that tells us "you need to reinstall the software EVERY time the 7410 does not see your wireless network connection". That was an actual quote from a Tier II tech at Hewlett-Packard. If you will ONLY be using the PRINTING function of the 7410, and no wireless or scan capabilities, then don't even waste your money on this printer, and look elsewhere instead of plunking down $500 on a.... printer. There are cheaper printers that do a better quality job than this. Bottom Line: NO wireless functionality after a day. No wireless scan options after a day. No wireless fax options after a day. No wireless copy options after a day. SHAME ON YOU, HEWLETT-PACKARD!!!

Duration of ownership:3 Months
Strengths: Wireless connectivity, very good quality prints and scans, duplex capable, automatic sheetfeed for scanner.
Weaknesses: No generic ink cartridges available.
Overall Evaluation: At first when I saw the unit there were alot of functions I thought I could do without but NOW I realize how much time I save with all this unit is able to provide. Wireless feature allows everyone in your network to share scanning, printing, and faxing capabilities. Amazing unit w/ solid performance to back it up. Only thing I'm not too crazy about is that the ink cartridges are not cheap and there is no generic ones available. Overall I consider this unit to be one of the best investments I've made in a while. Highly recommended!!!

Weaknesses: swapping out cartridge for optimal photo prints, Slow double to double copy.
Overall Evaluation: Need all? This one's got it. Its a bit huge, but much better having separate peripherals cluttering your home office. Nice layout and LCD Screen.
