  Strengths: Included speaker, two headphone inputs, included hook, suitable for kids

  Weaknesses: difficult to navigate between songs particularly if one has a long list, included speaker sounds very tiny, volume is not loud in headphone; sound quality is very so so.

  Overall Evaluation: It is suitable for kids (like 4 to 7) I think. The included speaker allows kids to listen to music without having to put the head phone in that may be a good thing for the kids such a young age. However, there are two headphone inputs when needed. Size and navigation method are good for kids, but adult may find it cumbersome. Battery life is moderate. The sound quality is very so so. The included hook is pretty neat to attach to backpack or belt hook. Colorwise (blue) is more universal.

  Overall Evaluation: I purchased the blue player for my grandson and this is a great MP3 player for children. It appears and feels sturdy. The controls are extremely easy to use and quite innovative. The "rings" which allow you to control volume and track selection are easy to operate for young kids, since you simply twist the top or bottom of the device. The only button to press on the unit is the on/off switch. The ability to shuffle tracks by shaking the device along with a goofy sound effect certainly appeals to kids. One of the main selling points for me was the built-in speaker, so the kids are not reliant on wearing headphones. It also can be attached to a lanyard to make it more difficult to lose.

  Strengths: Easy to use, pretty easy to load music especially from a CD.

  Weaknesses: Some of the preloaed music is borderline obscene

  Overall Evaluation: It is next to impossible to figure out how to open the cover at the bottom of the player to access the battery and SD card. One bonus feature, that we didn't know, is the top of the Shaker is a speaker,

  Overall Evaluation: I love it! This is great for listening while working around the house. The speaker is plenty loud, it has 2 headphone jacks to share, and it is expandable with cheap SD cards!

  Strengths: Small, multiple headphone jacks, built in speaker, uses one (1)replaceable AAA alkaline battery. The unit comes with headphones, USB cable (uses USB 2.0), hanging clip, AAA battery, and 512MB SD card

  Weaknesses: No built in memory

  Overall Evaluation: The simplicity of this unit makes it great for children. The built in speaker allows the option of listing to music without the headphones. It does not produce great quality sound, but it is fun to watch the kids dance to the music without having to wonder to what part of "Old McDonald" they are listing. The two headphone jacks also allows multiple people to listen to the same device. Sturdy construction, expandable memory, easy operation (not too many buttons or functions) and replaceable battery. Makes a very nice player for younger music listeners.

  Overall Evaluation: even though the built-in speaker of this sansa shaker is small, but the sound is clear and loud enough to hear in a quiet surroundings. sansa should be proud. they have packed so much into this little player including 2 headphone outputs, expandable memory, and fun shuffling mode. all of this is powered by just one AAA battery. this is one tough shaker to beat

  Strengths: durable, external speaker, 2 headphone jacks, easy interface to learn and use, external memory card makes it easy to load with songs, and it can be updgraded with extra memory if needed

  Weaknesses: it is a bit bulky, the profile is a bit too large to work out with comfortably but that is not a big deal to me

  Overall Evaluation: The memory card on this mp3 player comes pre-loaded with little kids' music. I bought this mp3 player for a high school student, and he made a "gag reflex" when he heard all the little kid music. He really liked the player though.

  Overall Evaluation: This product is an extremely decent MP3 player for its price and size. The product is ideal for youngsters as their first media player. The shake feature is fun, though not perfect. I would recommend this product to all.

  Overall Evaluation: I bought this mp3 player for my son 5 years old although it intents for +8 years old. You know what, my son just simply like it due to its shape and sound. The drum shaped player and the design of the speaker made my son think that there is a band inside. He bring it to everywhere he goes. However, you cannot put any non-mp3 format file into it. Otherwise it does not work. Since there is no display, you will not be able to know what is the problem. But for itsprice, we cannot expect too much.

  Overall Evaluation: I purchased this Mp3 player for my 5 year old instead of an ipod mainly due to price and durability. Designed for younger kids, the controls are simple to use. Just a twist or shake and the song advances, or the volume can simply be adjusted. Built in speaker at the top of the unit provides a surprisingly rich sound and eliminates the need for the headphones if desired. Unit comes complete with an expandable 512 mb sd card which holds 125 songs, 0 kids songs all ready programmed onto the SD card, earbud headphones, belt clip and battery. Regular AAA battery is easy to change and inexpensive to replace unlike other brands of personal mp3 players. If you have younger children who want an MP3 player you can not go wrong with this device.
