  Weaknesses: difficult if not impossible to install

  Overall Evaluation: Over the past several days I have attempted alone and with the help of their help desk to install this product. After over an hour of interrupted communication with the help desk which included not being able to hear each other several times. I finally was able to get the program to load at that time it could not be verified on line so I was told to wait an hour while they updated that process. When that was corrected the program would launch but immediately shut itself down. While in the past I have used many of the scansoft products at this time I feel this program is useless and rather than an upgrade it is a dismal failure. My only hope now is to uninstall it and find new OCR software.

  Strengths: Best program of its kind, Direct OCR capability

  Weaknesses: Weak documentation

  Overall Evaluation: This is the best OCR program. No regrets. If you purchase it, make sure you get all the current updates and patches from the Omnipage website. This will spare you the frustration I had with software bugs!
