Strengths: Large screen, voice commands, speed, performs well on road.
Weaknesses: Poor web and phone support from Garmin and USB chipset problems with certain computers. Poor documentation supplied with unit. Had to hunt for answers on internet that should have been provided with product literature. I have learned more about my Nuvi 760 from non Garmin websites, which is a sad situation for Garmin to be in. As near as I can tell the other GPS companies are just as bad. As with most products in the electronics industry, they are not ready for prime time yet. Let the customer beta test them for you.
Overall Evaluation: Good as long as you don't have to hook up to a computer or deal with Garmin.

Duration of ownership:6 Months
Strengths: LCD size, overall pakage and features
Weaknesses: There is no way to have an overview of the itinerary, which is a problem since sometimes the guidance is erratic. Travelling through time zones is also an issue since the 760 only updates the time zone when you are in a large city. We drove from San Diego to Denver and did not get the right time zone change until we actually drove into Denver. Some of the addresses we were looking for or cities we were looking for were not found by the 760 even though the businesses had been open over a year and I did update the software. the POIs and addresses are still limited to mainly large cities
Overall Evaluation: Overall a good product, GArmin still has some work to do to make it great.

Strengths: Screen easy to read and colors vibrant. Bluetooth works great.
Weaknesses: Speaker a little weak.
Overall Evaluation: Buydig is great. I was worried about ordering from a site unknown to me but got my order in 2 days and it was a new unit. I have heard many horror stories about buying new and getting refurbished. I have only had the unit for one week so have not used all the features but so far it has been really good. I am no expert and this is my first gps but it does what I need.

Strengths: Display is very clear, maps seem to be very good and really simple to use.
Weaknesses: Maybe FM transmitter not so great but if I had to have a voice tell me where I am at or where I am going I would just take someone with me..
Overall Evaluation: This is my first GPS. I did alot of research on different brands and models, Consumer Digest is a great place to get questions answered. This unit was really, really simple to use out of the box. The

Strengths: Unit navigates well, Antenna reception is strong, display is clear and bright, the direction's voice is clear and timely, blue tooth work well, the FM transmitter is OK, MP3 player is a great idea
Weaknesses: The FM transmitter power is weak(weak radio stations interfere), unit comes with an outdated map and database in it, the routes picked are sometimes not the best, the POI look-up on the unit is slow.
Overall Evaluation: I have only used this unit for a short period of time (2 months), it has many great features that I like and was why I bought it. It was very disappointing that when I registered the unit Garmin notif

Strengths: The viewing screen is bigger. I can load my music and lectures on it instead of having to fumble around with another device. It transmits to my radio.
Weaknesses: The radio transmitter could be a little stronger. It too easily lets static through.
Overall Evaluation: Overall I like the Nuvi760. It has helped us numerous times. It is a good product. I would highly recommend others get it. I am quite satisfied with it.

Duration of ownership:3 Months
Strengths: Uses same mounting bracket and power cord (with FM traffic receiver) as my previous Garmin StreePilot 350. Also has the same menu items, so was extremely easy to set up.
Weaknesses: Haven't found any yet. If it's as good as the StreetPilot 350, there shouldn't be (m)any.
Overall Evaluation: Garmin seems to have an extremely good reputation, so I had no qualms about upgrading from the StreetPilot 350 to the Nuvi 760. I got the wider screen, pocket portability, and the ability to input latitude/longitude, as well as having Bluetooth access to my cell-phone.

Strengths: being able to modify tts voices and non tts voices. bluetooth, last known location, size, weight, loads and loads of features.
Weaknesses: such a great product, someone might try to steal it.
Overall Evaluation: this is prolly one of the most useful things i have ever owned. i do a lot of driving for work, and never knew how much time looking at a map takes up. the bluetooth makes it easier to drive as well, with a big work truck like mine. moving my 760 from my car to work truck is a breeze, and with its 5 hour at least battery i dont even need to bring along my charger during work days. all around a great product, and would recommend it to anyone. was going to get a 350, and then saw the 760 on sale. love the turn by turn w/names on the 760.
