Strengths: Color is stylish, holds 250 songs, clips to my shirt, long battery life.
Weaknesses: No display, shuffle can get kind of annoying
Overall Evaluation: This is the perfect ipod for exercising. It weighs virtually nothing and can clip to your shirt. Unfortunately, the lack of a display means you really have no idea what song is going to play next. Overall, if you're looking for something with a display, buy a nano.

Strengths: Nice color, shape and sound
Weaknesses: memory is too small
Overall Evaluation: I got an ipod and an ipod nano. Compare to them, this one is really cute and small but with a samilar sound quality. I really like it. The color is beautiful. If you want execise with some mp3, this is it. Maybe apple should think adding AM/FM to it.

Strengths: small, light weight, cute, but amazing sound....
Weaknesses: iPod i-tune program is not so easy for beginners to use.
Overall Evaluation: This i-pod suffle is wonderful!!It meets all my needs. Although there is no LCD panel in front, but that's not that big a deal. It's so cute and light weighted. So I can carry it to anywhere I go.This is much smaller than being shown in this picture. I've shocked with the size of it when I got it.But the sound is so powerful. I'm using with BOSE ear-in headphones. OH!!! I cannot tell enough the wonderful sound.Just touch it and feel it!!

Strengths: Small, compact, easy to set up and easy to use. Sound quality is surprisingly good given that the Shuffle is tiny.
Weaknesses: Maybe too small and compact, cannot be used with anything other than ITunes. Did not like how the songs are shuffled every time I sync'd with ITunes. No screen.
Overall Evaluation: Overall I am happy with my purchase. The prices on the Shuffles have recently been lowered, so I am thinking of getting one for the kids. I use the Shuffle while I am working out at the gym and it is very useful for that purpose. The clasp holds on tight, and the Shuffle is so small one nearly forgets that it is attached to the body. The Shuffle is a very good introductory product to the Apple line of players. I will definitely move up to the bigger IPODs when I am done with my Shuffle. I have dropped my Shuffle several times (granted on carpet) and it has not broken, nor have I lost any song data. Don't want to make a habit of dropping it, but it has been relatively durable so far. Thumbs up --- especially at the lower price.......Pricegrabber played an instrumental role in helping me get the lowest price.

Duration of ownership:
Strengths: size and, price (especially now that its $50)...
Weaknesses: none at this point...
Overall Evaluation: I already own a 60GB video iPod. I bought that as soon as it came out...and, of course, I love it. But, it's not so convinent for working out or really, on the go...and I recently bought a shuffle for myself and I love it. Since I my time at the gym is no more than a couple of hours, this hold plenty of music for what I need. I had purchased a scandisk mp3 player for my sister as a gift but now that Apple just lowered their price by $30, I think I'll get her the "REAL" one. If you've had any second thoughts...don't hesitate any more...go get one for yourself...
