    Duration of ownership:

    Strengths: Gorgeous, bright screen, great battery life.

    Weaknesses: Heavy, back of iPod (like all others with chrome-look back) scratches easily.

    Overall Evaluation: Bought this iPod and it is a great upgrade so far. This replaced a 4GB iPod Nano (first generation) so, obviously, having more room was great. The finish and look of the iPod in silver is stunning. It looks much better, in my opinion, than the new iPod in black. The screen and navigation have been upgraded from the previous generation iPod and it is a truly colorful and pleasant experience. Used it on a road trip (8 hours in each direction) and the battery never needed a recharge during the whole trip! Love it.

    Strengths: Anodized aluminum casing. Huge 80 GB storage. Slimmer design than previous iPod Video. Improved GUI.

    Weaknesses: Screen and chrome back prone to scratching. Not compatible with some older iPod accessories.

    Overall Evaluation: When the iPod Classic was released it had many bugs and problems with it's new Cover Flow feature. Since then Apple has released several firmware updates which fixed most of these bugs! I am very happy with my iPod Classic and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality mp3 player with lots of storage space.

    Strengths: New slim style body. More sensitive improved touch panel. Huge space.

    Weaknesses: None.

    Overall Evaluation: As always with Apple products, this is one more step forward in technology. It works great and exceeds my expectation. This is a must have for anyone who does not have one, yet. Great item for coming gift season.

    Weaknesses: bit heavy, few accessories bundled

    Overall Evaluation: I purchased this iPod for my wife's birthday from Apple.com. I ordered it Sunday night and it was delivered here Chicago in Thursday morning at 9:00 am with free shipping charge. Amazingly, it was packaged and shipped from Shanghai, China. This is the first portable MP3 player in my family, and my wife likes it so far. It takes bit time to become familiar with operating iPod as well as settig up music from iTune. Only an earphone and USB cable are included in the box. You need to purchase extra accessories such as case, stereo cable, speaker etc. if necessary. It is bit heavy than I thought, but it is ok for us as we only use it in a car or home.
