  Strengths: Easy setup, great display, menus are easy to navigate

  Weaknesses: A little heavier and bulkier than the nano

  Overall Evaluation: I have been very happy with this version of the iPod. It's easy to load, has a great display, the menus are easy to navigate, and it's very versatile. It's noticeably heaver than the nano, but that's the tradeoff for all the extra features.

  Overall Evaluation: I'm absolutely happy with my iPod classic. The storage capacity is huge and I'm very happy I can finally move some of my video collections from my PC to this iPod.

  Overall Evaluation: I bought this for my son for Christmas and he has filled it with tons of songs from his iTunes and still cannot find enough to fill it. He enjoys the games that are preloaded. It looks very sharp with or without a case on it. Should be able to last for quite some time with good care and usage.

  Overall Evaluation: Be sure to get a case right away for your iPod. I got this beauty for Christmas and as soon as the Apple store was opened for business the next day, I went shopping for a case. Unfortunately, a hairline scratch developed on the back of my iPod before I could protect it, so be careful! I've owned several iterations of iPods - nano, shuffle, etc., but I must say this is the best one yet. Tons of capacity, slimmer than ever and the screen size is bright and crisp. I can fit my entire music library on it and have room to spare to fit TV shows and rent movies from iTunes. Highly recommended!

  Weaknesses: Itunes gets expensive for movies and tv shows

  Overall Evaluation: It is much easier than I expected to set up and usethis product. I bought it for my son for Christmas-he's 12 and wants it to watch movies and tv shows while we travel on airplanes. It's the perfect size and it seemsgreat so far. I hope it's durable enough for a 12 yr old boy.

  Strengths: I love its huge storage capacity. It is easy to use and find music to listen to. I use it with non-Apple brand products too, such as speakers, headphones, and FM transmitters. They enhance the iPod.

  Weaknesses: The scroll is hard to use with a cover on it. Also, there is no way to skip to a low letter in the alphabet when finding a title or artist. You have to scroll through everything...too time consuming.

  Overall Evaluation: My iPod is very convenient to use. I use it hanging around the house, when I work out, when I am driving, etc. It is very easy to find places to use it and the accessories help make it more portable (such as speakers, FM transmitter, and arm band cases).

  Strengths: New firmware, new games, new aluminum casing, new increased storage capacity.

  Weaknesses: Only comes in two colors? Really doesn't have any weaknesses.

  Overall Evaluation: This is my 4th iPod to date. I've owned a 4gb Mini, a 2gb Nano, a 30gb 5th Gen and now a 80gb Silver Classic. This is by far the best iPod to date. If you need the storage space and don't care about all the bells and whistles that the iPod touch has, this is the iPod for you. The new firmware feels really organic, it almost breathes with life compared to the previous models. The additional space is incredible the redesigned case seems more durable than ever. I love it!

  Strengths: excellent sound, handling and menu navigation is great, design and the cover flow function are awesome

  Weaknesses: price, weight, audiobooks

  Overall Evaluation: This MP3 player is just great! I love the bright and ultra clear display and its sound quality. I am sure I will buy some videos for the ipod to watch on the plane. Now, I have all my music with me - everywhere! No selection needed, nothing is missing. The cover flow function was a nice surprise but cost me some time to get the covers organized (if you are not so familiar with itunes). The speed of the cover flow function is definitely ok.Uploading the music was easy but getting my audio books in the audio book folder ... that was a bit of a hassle - tied to a lot of internet-research and time. Finally, I got there but apple could make it more user-friendly. Not everybody likes to buy things from their store. ;-) As I am used to an ipod nano (2G), I was negatively surprised by the weight of the ipod classic. Therefore, I will keep the nano for doing sports. I guess that hard drive memory devices should not be used all the time for jogging and sports where they are exposed to shocks.I would buy it again!

  Overall Evaluation: This is upgrading an original ipod that died. This model is great, holds thousands of songs, certainly more than my music library. I think the click wheel is more sensitive but that doesn't bother me. I love the graphics. I got mine on sale but I would have paid full price for it. I do think these are pricey but they are definitely less than what they were a few years ago! It's an entertainment investment, so nice for parties and no more searching for radio stations in car, just turn on ipod!
